Sailor Moon has a lot of villains, so which one do you think is the best and why? As in, who was the most evil or who was the most believable, who has the best reason to be evil/turned evil, etc. etc.

BLACK LADY!!!! She's amaaaazzziinng that's why! She's my favorite villain ever =D I feel so bad for her cause she thinks no one loves or care about her ;-; I just wanna hug her!

Yessssssss, I agree with Black Lady and Myu Galaxia!

Also, in general I like Beryl and Nehelenia but I felt especially sympathetic for Beryl in Myu and Nehelenia in the Anime.

My favourite villain is Queen Beryl. I don't know if it's because she was the first real "boss" that they had, but there's just something about her I like. Her story is pretty depressing, and I guess I like the unrequited lover turned batcrap insane bit. I'm not sure what that says about me... haha.

Personally, I find manga-Galaxia to be the most interesting and complex villain. She's pretty much the anti-thesis of Sailor Moon and I think that's one of the reasons why they couldn't truly defeat each other (Besides the fact that Chaos intervened and tried to kill Galaxia ).

Anyway, I really enjoyed how Naoko explored the fact that not every senshi is going turn out like the Sol senshi; not everyone gets that happily ever after surrounded by friends and family. Galaxia had no one and her isolation drove her to become so bitter that it consumed her. She also really pushed Usagi to her breaking point and took away everything that Usagi held dear - her loved ones. I think that has to be one of my favorite parts of the manga: seeing Usagi losing everything yet refusing to give up.

I definitely feel for Beryl and Black Lady, honestly. I felt their stories were the saddest ones. One was unrequited love and the other was feeling that no one loved them. Which, can be very real - losing love, intense love, or feeling that no one loves you can really do things to a person.

Myu!Beryl. They took the unrequited love and stabbed you right deep down in the feels. No only was she ENGAGED to Endymion but Princess Serenity basically stole him away (well according to her), but DESPITE ALL THAT SHE ENDS UP SAVING SAILOR MOON BECAUSE SHE SEES THE LOVE THE GIRL HAS AND FORGIVENESS IN MOONS HEART. IT IS SO TOUCHING I JUST CAN'T EVEN (I'm talking about the Eien Densetsu Musical here).

And on that note...Myu!Galaxia (in particular Stars and Eien Densetsu but shes fab in Shin Densetsu Kourin and Ryuusei Denetsu). They took the ruthlessness of the manga version and kicked it up a notch. Not only did she want power and to destroy everything, she had a LOVE of watching Sailor Soldiers fighting each other. She got almost a high off of it and she enjoyed watching others go through pain. She made Usagi watch each and every single death of her Senshi. THEN made her fight against fake Endymion. And UGH.

PLUS: CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH AND DEMOLISH!!! GALAXIAAAAA GORGEOUS!

I after her the next best villain is Lilith of Darkness from Transylvania no Mori. She had a wonderful reason to do what she was doing...get revenge on the patriarchal god that forced her to suffer and be mother of demons only for them to all be killed after she gives birth (and shes based of the myth of Lilith the first woman (Judaism) who refused to lay with Adam basically saying "why should i be beneath you?" Google it, shes pretty cool.)

I have a thing for Beryl. She's my favorite villain due to all the unrequited love. During the PGSM, in special, you can see that even though she's a villain and she's in the wrong, it's not due to her being mean-spirited. She just had so much love and that leave us wondering what if... what if the roles were swapped and Beryl had gotten Endymion whereas Serenity hadn't. What would have happened?

IMHO, PGSM!Serenity is the real villain and not Beryl, that's how much the character makes you wonder.

The Myu incarnation of Beryl is also so very perfect for all the motives Brit has already explained above.

I think Demande is the best villain (yeah, me being hideously bias again). He's so twisted and his obsession with NQS makes him downright creepy but it's that creepyness that makes him awesome. And also if you think about his backstory, you can see that he was actually a normal person until Wiseman showed up (manga).

And it's no secret that i have a thing for him.
(Also anyone else notice that he figured out that Sailor Moon was Neo-Queen Serenity in the future just by looking at her while most other villains had to spy or witness Moon transforming in front of their eye's)

I also think Galaxia is pretty cool (GALAXIA GORGEOUS!)

Fiore was also able to figure out that Usagi was SM right away and he was creepy obsessed with Mamoru. Sooo maybe theres something to be said about being creepy obsessed with one of the Senshi and being able to figure out their identities quickly. xD

I forgot about Fiore o.o; I feel for him too! I mean, it started out as friendship as Mamoru and Fiore were each other's only friends and then obviously Fiore fell in love with Mamoru but didn't quite understand what love was? And got obsessed and the Kisenian Flower totally corrupted that concept and made it a crazy obsession.

I guess I really feel for the villains that had their love twisted and corrupted by darkness.

Also, one thing that I like about manga Galaxia, is that she was evil of her own volition.  most of the Sailor Moon villains were maniplated, tricked, or brainwashed into being evil or were simply an incarnation of Chaos, and while I love those villains as well, Galaxia was something entirely different.

She wasn't born evil, and she wasn't forced into it either.  Yes, she probably had terrible circumstances but in the end I felt that it was her choices that made her the monster she was and I kind of love her for it.

(I haven't seen Myu Galaxia, although I think I would love her too)

In the manga Galaxia. As much as I don't like the manga Stars I do love Galaxia. She wasn't born evil or was turned twisted by an outside force. She became evil on her own due to her environment. It makes her seem more human you know? 

As for the original anime I really don't have a true favorite. I do love the Amazon Trio, but they aren't truly evil you know? The same goes with the Shitennou which the anime sadly screw them up. Thank god for PGSM.

I'm with Yunie, Adelaide and Yami. I'm for Manga Galaxia (though I haven't seen the Myu version to compare the two). As Yunie was saying, she's the polar opposite of Sailor Moon. And as Adelaide pointed out, she's the only one who Sailor Moon could not truly defeat. She also brings out my favorite moment in Sailor Moon's character, where she admits that she was never fighting for justice but for a world she and her friends could share.

Worst villain is Black Lady... just kidding. She's awesome too.

Id say the Myu!Galaxia is more along the lines of the 90s Anime!Galaxia with some of the ruthlessness of manga!Galaxia thrown in. The background story for Galaxia takes after the anime since it would have been to complicated and confusing to add in Sailor Cosmos and all that stuff (though Chaos is there AS THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST IN SAILOR MOON EVER. Though, you really need to watch "Eien Densetsu" to know what we are getting it here. *coughyoucandownloaditoffmywebsite seaofserenity.net coughcoug*)

Eudial.  Hella effective and smart.

Anime Eudial.. let me tell you why.

This woman developed a computer program to find pure hearts that potentially held the talismans. She drove like a maniac, constructed a gun to extract these crystals (not to mention a whole bunch of other nifty inventions), and easily did most of the dirty work out of all the 5 witches. She successfully located 2/3 of the talismans AND discovered the civilian identities of Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune! The only reason this super smart villain was outdone, was because Mimete cut her brakes and put snails all over the floor, sending her off the side a cliff and into the ocean..

But even then.. you know.. she may not have died. 

She might be laying in the hospital, healing, plotting her revenge.....
