| if you guys ever need help with character creation or description, you can ask me! despite not being able to write great posts, i was always good at creative writing and my brain is usually bubbling with original ideas for how a character could/should look!
i helped ed to create a seiya/usagi daughter for an rp, and she certainly is unique! Sailor Chibi Moon AU version |

| I have two main problems when it comes to RP: - Playing female characters - Maintaining a muse when the person/people I'm RP'ing with only make reactive posts. If someone is only reacting to things my character does/says, it's really exhausting. |

If someone is only reacting to things my character does/says, it's really exhausting. I understand! I have a hard time playing characters that are different from me and so I end up picking characters that I can identify with which doesn't leave a lot of room for variety. I also know that I tend to write (as well as I can) in a similar to style to whatever literature I'm exposed to at the time. So maybe read some works that have a female character as the lead?? And see how they write her? As for the reaction posts I know that it can be hard to react to little information but I know that I've also been that person who was only reacting to another post (>.>). Introspection, nonverbal language, gut-wrenching detail, these might help give more to a post even if your character isn't really doing anything. Depending on the storyline and who's in it you may also be able to move the story along yourself (just make sure everyone agrees first). |

I've recently had some personal stuff happen that's really affected me and I've found that I'm not longer really motivated or excited to do the things I use to like writing and I'm struggling to get back into it. Tips anyone? |

Tips anyone? I was in a very similar emotional landscape 1 year ago after similar personal circumstances. Rewatching all 200 episodes of Sailor Moon (as I was also trapped inside due to weather) was what I used to get me through. I also allowed myself to feel and talked through my emotions with some wonderful people in my life. It took time, but all of that eventually that is what helped me to once again do the things I love. I hope that helps! Also re-watching some things could potentially help inspire you for RPs |

| Maybe try free writing? You could also try writing something you've nevermind written before or try a writing challenge. |

| JTC's doing some free form kind of on Skype with me tonight. We do this sometimes when we'e stuck on a scene and want to work it out or we want to explore an alternative ending/action to what we ultimately put into the RP. Maybe this will be me back into it... |

| My sister and I have been RPing vocally for years. We've gone through numerous fandoms-and all of them were crossovers. I tend to have my characters have the same traits, however. Slowly working on that. |

| We do that as well. For a long time we RPed over the phone. Sometimes we do it over skype calls or just burst out in our characters randomly while hanging out. I find our RP style easier to keep up with. I wish I was better with keeping up with forum rps. |

| I am not very good at establishing very descriptive settings, therefore I struggle the most when I have to start the a RP as post #1. I also struggle with keeping my OC character bios short. I like to put a lot of research into my characters so that their actions and interests are justified through culture, family history, etc.. Having a lot of information also helps me keep them in character, but sometimes I think it overwhelms people (especially younger RPers). |

In addition to that, I struggle a little with keeping my charcter's voice and actions true while trying to advance the plot sometimes. |

I have trouble with making things make sense and spellign eroors (I did that on purpose this time) also I have only really did 3 kinds of rp: WWE/wrestling, superhero/fantasy hero and Sailor moon. I would like to Branch out sometime..just don't know where and if i can cut it with other people i really don't know.. (When I came here I already knew Mercuryfan)
OH I forgot to mention making profiles...its the hardest thing for me.

| :bunnypokerface I'm not all that great with chemistry when roleplaying with people. ((I'm kinda only okay when writing chemistry between characters I'm controlling ^^' so only giving heat on one side and not knowing how it would be received and planning for one way only to react to another makes me feel like I really need work in the romance department XD)) |

| Chemistry is hard, it can go wrong in so many ways... and involves being worried on how the other will receive / understand our reply.
I am terrible at fighting scenes. Mostly because (and that's my other struggle) I lack in english vocabulary. It makes for redundancy and very weird sentences. But the fighting is the worst I think. And though I can write emotions, I don't think I can balance them very well. I'm often worried I'll write an emotion too much or not enough. |

Yes so much this! It is one of the things I am really trying HARD to work on by sortof kicking myself out of my comfort zomes and taking on a role I would normally shy away from. So far I think it's helping! ^^ I think sometimes my dialogue is not as good as it should be. I also struggle with writing for a character during fluff scenes where everyone's just sort of hanging around doing nothing. I like to write action or angst a bit more. (Thanks Sailor Mercury for making me realize that I just love angst. ^^) I'm also horrible about letting a post go out without really taking a lot of time to check for typos and such. I jump the gun a lot as I'm just excited to post it. |

| Bump! I struggle with time commitment, but I've actually been doing pretty well with it recently. I decided to join no more than two role-plays at a time and, typically, I check to see if it is my turn to post each morning before work. But, sometimes life gets in the way. |
