I was big into Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge years and years ago. It was pretty easy to blitz with Soviet armor, and Conscripts made superb meat shields against the Yuri faction's mind control devices.
AT LEAST I HAVE JOB
I also used to play Hearts of Iron pretty regularly. The game was a Second World War simulation which allowed you to take command of almost any nation in existence during the period leading into and during the war. The downside of the game tended to be Paradox Entertainment's inability to beta test competently prior to release, necessitating countless patch jobs to fix glaring imbalances. Nevertheless, the modding community for that game was awesome.
