These are some really good drawings, Jia - what mediums do you use? Also, do you take requests? ^^

I like drawing with traditional pilot hi-techpoint v5 or v7 for the lines. I don't know why but I love working with pen. I also work with graphite, I love them to make shadows.

I've done some oil and acrylic paintings before, or even coffee paintings, but I prefer drawing. Yeah I may take some requests once in a while. The second drawing on the top actually was one.

Graphite is my favorite medium as well since I do a lot of grayscale when I am in the drawing-mode (which I should get back into, hehe). You have some really nice and crisp lines for your work, though. Shows you have a pretty steady hand.

Also, coffee paintings? I haven't heard of those, unless I know them by another name, XD.

Yes actually coffee painting is almost like working with watercolors. I always take icecube makers and fill them with half water. I just have to add different amount of instant coffee in each hole to create different opacities. Very fun to work with. To add some color to the painting at some specific places on a work, I may blend some water to my acrylic to get a sheer light color that will mix perfectly to the sepia effect of the coffee painting.

Coffee painting creates good shadow effects and I forgot to mention I always varnish my work at the very end

Paprika, thank you so much for the coloring skill compliment because with all the beautiful paintshop coloring done today and those stunning colors they have, when I compare to my traditional work, I feel it's never good enough! Or the colors are at least not as saturate I would like to, but that is maybe only my opinion anyway
