yo yo, how u doin'

Jk, I'm really not a gangster, it's just very late and it's my birthday today. xDD;

So that was a little taste of me. Totally random and weird sometimes. Usually I'm pretty normal though, I swear, but just don't be too surprised if you ever see me in a weird mood. These things happen, y'know?

Okay, so let me really introduce myself. As of today, I am 21 years old. I first discovered Sailor Moon when I was I don't know how old. Six or seven perhaps. I loved watching it. Unfortunately, my mother did not and thus I was banned from watching it because of the scary villains (and Rugrats, and Power Rangers, and many other great shows of the 90s that I ended up watching anyway when I could). And so I turned to the internet to satiate my love for Sailor Moon. Truth be told, I have yet to watch all seasons of Sailor Moon and have yet to read a single manga tankoban. However, I learned just about all major things I need to know about Sailor Moon on the internet anyway. I love the art. When I was younger, I only liked the anime pictures and I thought the manga was weird looking...but over the years I have come to completely reverse that opinion. The manga is gorgeous. Even just normal images that aren't part of any particular special scene are beautiful. I also fell in love with the concept. Sometimes I'll say that Sailor Jupiter is my favorite, but really I love all the girls just about the same. Sailor Moon was my first experience with not only anime, but especially the magical girl genre, and I was hooked. Transforming into a beautiful female warrior with strength to save the world? YES PLS. And so I started to create my own sailor senshi and that got me further entrenched into the fandom. Lots of other stuff, yadda yadda, but I'm beginning to realize this is becoming quite the lengthy introduction, so I'll spare you and finish this up real quick.

Other facts about me: I have the cutest beagle ever named Tilly (no joke--I'll show her to you sometime and you will agree); I love music and have quite an eclectic taste, I think; I'm a linguistics major and am currently studying Japanese and French; I am the youngest of six and I love my entire family; I'm quite a nerd and have varied interests; the top two favorite franchises dearest to my heart would probably have to be Star Wars and Sailor Moon; I just started getting into cosplaying and I think I'm obsessed; I want to make online friends like YOU!

I was so happy when I found this thread. Lately I've been worried that the Sailor Moon fandom has been losing momentum because its getting old, its fans are growing up, and there are tons of other new magical girl series out there nabbing people's attentions. Seeing this site makes me so happy that it is still going strong and it gives me hope. Let's never forget Sailor Moon and pass it down to future generations.

oh and Sailor Moon is actually picking up in momentum. Tons of merchandise is coming out, the manga reprints, and in general a whole world wide revival. The manga reprint actually sold out and Kodansha announced a 2nd print. Wow!
