[Entry #1
“Make a wish, Serenity!”
“Go on Small Lady, blow out your candles!”
The two birthday bunnies were seated at the head of the table, smiling down at their individual cakes. The sailor senshi and the king surrounded them, waiting in anticipation for the candles to be blown. Neo Queen Serenity winked at her daughter before leaning forward and blowing out her candles in one smooth movement. Small Lady smiled and closed her eyes, wishing with all her might for the one thing she desired most.
The young girl blew out her five candles and smiled with glee as the claps of the Senshi filled the room. She felt her father’s strong hands grab her tiny waist and hoist her onto his shoulders. She squealed in delight and clapped her hands, the excitement of her wish evident in her large smile. King Endymion placed her safely back in her seat, where her mother had already set a piece of cake in front of her.
In a matter of minutes, everyone was digging into the triple chocolate cake, complete with chocolate icing, chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup. All throughout the evening, the castle was filled with laughter, smiles, happy times and cheerful memories. For Small Lady, it was the best birthday yet.
As the young girl said good-bye to her friends and her mother’s senshi, she couldn’t stop thinking about her wish, and how desperately she wanted it to come true. She knew she couldn’t tell anyone, but she was going to explode if she had to hold it in any longer. Maybe if she told her parents, they would try to get her what she wanted. Yes, that was what she would do.

Neo Queen Serenity heaved a sigh of exhaustion as the palace doors closed behind her friends. Her husband, King Endymion, smirked at her.
“Is my wife actually tired from a party? You really must have gotten older.”
Serenity scoffed and slapped him in the arm. “Well excuse me, Mister Anti-Social. I didn’t see you trying to entertain all of our guests today,” she replied, walking away from him. He chuckled and followed her, down the corridor and into their bedroom. While her back was turned, he took the opportunity and grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards him.
“What did you wish for, your Highness?” he said, his voice dangerously low as he backed her into a wall.
The queen crossed her arms over her chest, still the same girl she was ten years ago. “If I tell you, it won’t come true,” she replied simply.
“Oh come on, you don’t really believe in that stuff, do you?”
“Of course I do! Wishes are like secrets; better left unsaid.”
“So, does that mean if I tell you mine, it won’t come true?” a new voice quipped.
Endymion’s eyes widened and he backed away from his wife, turning around to find Small Lady standing in the doorway. Her eyelids were heavy, and she yawned before continuing:
“I just…really want to tell someone my wish,” she said quietly.
The married couple glanced at each other, both wearing concerned expressions.
“Is everything okay, sweetheart?” Serenity said, walking to her daughter and getting on her knees.
“Tell us your wish, honey. It could still come true,” Endymion added, following his wife.
“Well…” Small Lady started to say, “I really want…a new brother or sister. One who could play with me and go on walks with me and keep me company when I’m lonely. That’s my wish. Can you get me one Daddy? Please?”
Serenity and Endymion blinked at their daughter in surprise.
“What? I’m sure they aren’t that expensive,” Small Lady said, placing her hands on her hips.
Serenity shook her head and laughed. “No princess, but they are a lot of…work. Daddy and I will do our best, okay?” she said, hugging the pink-haired child.
A smile the size of a banana spread across the young princess’s face and she cheered. “Yay! Thanks so much!” she squealed, throwing her arms around her father. Endymion was frozen, still unable to process what his daughter had requested.
“Go get some sleep now – you’ve had a long day,” Serenity said, gently pushing her daughter towards the door.
With a happy wave, Small Lady was gone and Serenity had shut the door behind her. She turned around, facing her husband.
“Did she just…?” Endymion stammered.
“She did,” Serenity replied.
With a sly grin, the blonde queen walked towards her husband and wrapped her arms around his neck.
The king chuckled and scooped her up, tossing her lightly onto their bed and crawling on top of her. She placed one hand around his neck and kissed him, but it wasn’t long until Endymion pulled away.
“Wait…you still haven’t told me your wish,” Endymion stated.
Serenity’s smile only grew.
“I guess when you have the same birthday, you have the same wishes.”
And that was all Endymion needed to hear.
