The old designs have nothing to do with that for me. I just don't like how long their faces look. It looks unnatural to me. I know it's a cartoon, but still.

The music didn't intrigue me at all but overall I really liked it. ^-^

I find it funny how it kinda of looks like Usagi is at a sale for sailor mercurys, sailor venuses, sailors marses, and sailor jupiters.

I am kind of guessing that the screenshot is from the first episode since Naru's mom was having a sale in the jewelry shop. That screenshot could be when Usagi sees Tuxedo Mask for the first time.

I knew i would like the art better when i see the animation~~~~
i got so excited i teared up in my job! i had to hide my face tho XD
i'm finally getting excited about this! (still hate the art, but less)

I was about to head off to work, and then I seen the trailer.
It's so soft, and pretty. I definitely cannot wait for the show to air in a month!

ooooh finally i get to comment...this week was obviosly a bad week to move, lots of rain and SAILOR MOON TRAILER TO DISTRACT ME. XD

Okay here's my go.

Things I liked: MOMOCLO. KOTONO. UNFFFF. I liked some of the animation (like the upclose of her smiling, and a few other parts). The backgrounds look nice too! I liked the upclose shots of Usagi getting dressed, especially her putting the bobby pin in her bun.


Things I don't like: animation is too stiff and feels like a web series quality anime. But since it is direct to web rather than TV thats to be some what expected (though I've seen better animated direct to web series tbh...like Bee and Puppycat or The Bravest Warriors).  I think they are just taking some short cuts to get it done a little bit quicker.


Overall this just got me super hyped for it. Before I was kinda "meh" and more hyped for Viz getting the old anime licensed...but now i'm stoked for new anime.

And now, after two or three years, my doubts have finally been put to rest. Sailor Moon anime is DEFINITELY being remade now. 

My heart was pounding while watching this trailer! I love everything about it @_@. Honestly, the new art style is completely fine with me, even though some people aren't too happy about it.

I think the art is absolutely phenomenal, but I still don't see how it's just going to be 25 episodes. Will it cover each individual arc or just the first one?

So far it's just covering the first arc. I guess how well the first season does depends on whether or not we'll see the other arcs.

omg cheap animated as expected. and i'm not talking about the charadesign i'm talking about the animation. cheaps movements, not smooth. scenery like drawn by a 5 year old. everyone who say something else NEVER saw a beautiful good animated anime..

and now i'm waiting for a re-remake by a decent company  :bunnypokerface 



and funny that sailor moon is not even a tv anime. every anime i will watch in the summer season except for sailor moon will air on japanese tv o_O SAO2 even will air subbed on a tv station in my country xD

Im still keeping up hope that the animation will be good when we see a full episode. Some of the scenes they showed in the promo loomed.deliberately slowed down, we'll see!

Im still keeping up hope that the animation will be good when we see a full ep! Some of the scenes loomed deliberatly slowed down for the promo.so you never know

it's just a ONA so no i don't have hope.
cheap animations, horrible staff writing the script (precure wtf), and an average seiyu cast (not even mamoru got a big deal like hiroshi kamiya, daisuke ono or mamoru miyano).
and no i don't say the seiyu are bad. jupiters & mars seiyu did a good job as Matoi Ryuko & Mikoto Misaka (btw i don't even like this series but i still know the roles) and Mamoru's Seiyu was also good in Psycho-Pass but they are nothing special :/
..... they should use at least Akira Ishida for one of the bad guys and stay far far away from annoying Kaji Yuuki xD

We also get treated to a screenshot. Usagi-chan will always be usagi-chan. I love how she's trying to reach for Rei's fork.

Well, the new designs are closer to the manga, however I still feel like they could have been better. But I am super excited to see a full episode of Sailor Moon Crystal!! I think it will be great!! I cannot get over how bright and vibrant the color palate is!

That's a nice little scene that reminds me of the old anime. ^^ I'm pretty excited for this.

This is how I feel as well. I don't love it but I don't hate it and it's something NEW after all these years so I'm excited!!!

i'm still spazzing over it. everything about it is glorious. i'm loving the art more now since we got to see it in animation.


p.s. i still think akb48 would have been a perfect fit to sing the theme song.

Am I the only one who didn't like the song? It just reminded me of sooo many anime openings where it's like this fast paced eletric instrumental with a fast talking singer in the background. It wasn't horrible but I'd prefer something similar to the old seasons.

The trailer was ok. When I saw the pictures of them all I really liked it but now seeing it in action I'm not all that impressed but I'm just excited to have a new Sailor Moon period so I'm taking what I can get!

Like i said above, Mars jewel and Jupiter's belt were only created in the live action, the original manga does not have those jewels, and since the re-make was during the same time, the new drawings included those.

The trailer was very nice!  I liked seeing the new character designs in motion.  I just love the bright colors.  Definitely got me excited for the new series.

I literally freaked out when I saw it! I got a bit misty eyed, ha. The animation is so different, so of course everyone will have to get used to it. It reminds me a lot of Pokemon Origins. And the little details and over detailed stuff excites me!!

I like Lily's screenshot a lot more than anything else I've seen tho, so maybe there's hope..? <3

it's not a screenshot from the actual deal it's just a promotional picture in a magazine. the same like with 151 other anime. a screenshot is somehing different

Well I like the promotional image. I like the girls being girls. Right now they seem too grown up and serious for me.

Well I think that they are saving the good parts of the sailor moon crystal to remain unspoiled until the moment of truth. Man that sounds deep.

They probably wanted this trailer to give us a glimpse of the animation and a bit of mysteriousness.

I agree, I'm on love with the promo image, it's darling, I wonder if Rei even knows Usagi is about to snatch her bite of food <3 mauahahah

it has no message about the plot to people who never saw the original anime. so it's more a teaser than a trailer.
