| Hello everyone! I stumbled on this forum on Tumblr, so I decided to come check it out 'cause I love Sailor Moon. I watched some Sailor Moon back when it was on TV in the US, then decided to check it out again two years ago and got completely addicted. I've watched the anime, read the manga, and watched most of PGSM. I'm also rewatching the anime with a good friend (I've gotten her hooked! -yay!). It's so nice to finally have someone in real life to fangirl with - though I love the online stuff too (Tumblr, dA, etc). My favorite characters are Sailor Moon, Sailor Saturn, ChibiChibi, and Sailor Uranus. My two favorite seasons are Classic and Super. Also, I bought the new re-release of the manga! It's beautiful! A little about me - I'm a senior in college, majoring in English and minoring in French and Chemistry. I love to read. I love Sailor Moon. I'm looking forward to participating in this forum. ~ firerose19 |

| Hello! Welcome! I'm curious as to what you are planning on doing with an English degree. My bf got his degree in English and I got an art degree and now we are like "well now what?" XD
Btw, how's French treating you? I'm from south Louisiana where French is like the basis of our culture, but I don't think I could ever stand learning it! I took one french class and said "I'm done!" haha!

| So wonderful to have you here! Glad that you decided to join. Good luck with your studies! I am a senior in Uni as well, so understand how that final year can be stressful. Your major sounds awesome. I love to write but goodness, your minors sound HARD! Especially with chem. >_< Oh dear, that stuff rattles my brain. Anyway, welcome again. And if you have any questions/comments/random thoughts, you are more than welcome to PM me about them. |

Btw, how's French treating you? Hah....I actually don't know what I'm going to do post-graduation. I'm planning on going to talk to the people at our Career Planning Services Office....hopefully they'll be helpful. And maybe I'll talk to one of my favorite professors, too. Perhaps he'll have an idea... Otherwise, I could teach at a private school, I suppose. And going into publishing would be cool, but it's a really hard industry to get into, I hear. So I really have no idea. And I'm trying not to stress out about it too much because it makes me really scared.... French is awesome. I've studied it since like the 8th grade, so I have some degree of fluency - not anywhere near perfect, though. I actually studied abroad for a month this past summer, and it was an amazing experience. I stayed with a French family in Tours, France. I wish I could go back!!! |

Oh, also - I know languages are hard, though. Some people have more of a knack for them than others - and non-English speakers tend to be better at picking them up/having a motivation to learn them than native English speakers do. It's hard! I know I met so many other people while I was studying abroad and they would speak 3+ languages and their English would be PERFECT even though it wasn't their first language and they were no older than I am and their French rivalled mine. I was so jealous. Haha. Language can be fun, though, and useful. If you want to learn, you should try! haha. I actually want to learn Japanese, too.... lol. |

The only reason I stopped watching PGSM, actually, is a really nerdy one...I was kindof worried about the philosophical implications of what was going on with Serenity's powers in the PGSM 'verse.... Because, I mean, there it's canon that she just loses it and her powers go all out of control and are destructive, and that kind of bothers me. When I think of Sailor Moon's powers, I think of something that works for good and healing, not something that mindlessly destroys the earth and puts people in danger. I don't know, haha. That's just me. However, I wouldn't be surprised if I finish watching it at some point. I really, really think that the actresses did a GREAT job with getting the personalities of the senshi down. I love them all. I don't even think I could pick a favorite. And PGSM also made me love Mars a lot more - hooray Keiko Kitagawa!! |

It was just so fantastic, especially the conflict between her and Rei about past verses present. I simply adored it. ^^ |

I love languages. <3 And what specifically are you doing in your English major? :O My best friend's major is English and she happens to be focusing on creative writing. Haha, basically. What languages are you interested in/have studied/learned? I want to learn more!! - Japanese and Italian, specifically. I'm not focused on anything specific, really, in my major because I go to a very small liberal arts school, so there isn't really an opportunity to specialize. We just focus on reading the literature and writing analysis papers on it, which I love. We have a great department. This semester I'm taking a class on Russian Lit and a class on Robert Frost. ^_^ |

| To everyone else: Thank you!! I’m super-excited to start poking around here....in my free time...wait, in my what? Haha, yeah senior year is so busy. And stressful. Ack! Chem kinda rattles my brain too, Sailor Jupiter, I’ll be glad to be finished with it after this semester. And ohhhh Haruka <3. Her attack is probably my favorite, Alyssa. And her general bad-assness. Kyralih.....hellooooo! And yes, I just couldn’t choose between all the subjects I liked! If I had my way, I’d have more minors. Or majors. But that would get expensive...and I would probably burn out. Haha. And, definitely Moon and Uranus. Gah!! Oshiyokiyo, thanks!! It is one of the best things to be addicted to. So beautiful~! My majors are amazing, but don't feel a need to bow (though I appreciate teh compliment!!) - there are so many people who are smarter than I am lol! It's nice to meet you too. |
