| Hello, my name is Chmia. I have been reading and writing fan fiction participating in RPGs, and reading/watching anime and manga for nearly a decade. My favorite anime/manga series include: Ranma 1/2, Sailormoon (duh), Dragonball Z, Urusei Yatsura, Inu-Yasha, Gundam Wing, and Rurouni Kenshin. My first RPG characters were an awful mix-up of Sailormoon, Dragonball Z, and the Animorphs.
I also really enjoy video games (Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Mortal Kombat, etc.) I'm super excited for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Batman: Arkham City! I'm also an avid reader of anthropology, the classics, and historical fiction (I also enjoy Harry Potter and I just finished collecting The Royal Diaries series, which is definitely below my age and reading level).
As for television... Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Glee, and Modern Family. Yes, that list indicates how much my household watches HBO. UFC is fun to watch, too.
I'm the new "mother" of a six-month old puppy, who dominates my life. Archery, archaeology, and love dominate the rest of my life. ^.^ At the moment, readings for class should be dominating my weekend, but I have been terribly distracted and non-productive, so far. Pottermore isn't helping, either. -.-

| Hello! It's great to meet you! Also, yay! another anthropology and archaeology person! I'm a bioarchaeologist/paleopathology lover! Is there a certain area or specialty that you like to read about?
Your first RP sounds really interesting. Did it end up working out for everyone?
How is Pottermore? I haven't looked into it that much, mostly because I haven't done much with Harry Potter since the last book came out.
Anyways! I hope you like it here! Make yourself at home. |

| Aww~, puppies. Haha, I was there too recently. My mutt-puppy has matured into one huge dog who likes huggles, though. What breed is yours? It's awesome that we're both interested in archery and archeology, though. And we seem to have a decent bit in common anime/game/book wise, too. Zelda, Final Fantasy, Sailor Moon (obviously, XD), InuYasha, and definitely Animorphs. Do you have all of the books with the last one? They're rather hard to come by now, although I'm not sure I want to buy the reprint with them changing so much of it. (See the website to look at the most obvious changes.) Anywho~. Welcome to the Cauldron! ^^ |

| Wow, I wasn't expecting for others to have interest in archaeology (or archery, for that matter). My past experience lies in archaeology of the Maya region (specifically Belize). I'm currently trying to determine my specialty, but perhaps ritual use by the non-elite. I really, really dislike reading theory. As for pleasure reading, I've been reading into different teaching techniques and I've always had a fondness for ancient China/Japan (Lisa See is one of my favorite authors. I tend to re-read two of her books each summer.) Although they have only had a few books, the Shadow Divers are awesome (especially the recent book on Titanic).
The first RPG actually survived for several seasons (five, I think??). I've re-used those characters many, many times since then.
Pottermore is really neat and interesting, but the sheer amount of traffic causes many problems. The traffic causes the beta-site to crash, often, but the interactiveness more than makes up for it.
My puppy is a terrier mix, but I don't know much more than that. I've had him since he was seven weeks old. His big boy teeth just finishing coming in. Thankfully, potty training has been completed for awhile. He definitely loves to snuggle. Actually, he is snuggling with me right now while I type on the computer and read an article by Boas.
I do have the entire series of Animorphs. I began collecting it within a year or two of its initial release and I continued to collect until the series ended. I first noticed the reprint on my Kindle, but I wasn't too excited, because I already own them all. ^.^ |

| *Nods.* Archeology is extremely interesting to me, although my main area of interest is ancient Egypt - from the beginning to the fall of the Ptolemy lines. Once I finally get a bigger bookshelf (I currently have three makeshift 'shelves' stacked on the top of my original one, XD), I'm hoping to get some actual books on Egyptology and finish collecting some series.
With Animorphs, I own over half of the regular books, and three of four super-editions. I'm only missing the last pre-series book in the trilogy, too. I'm hoping that the used book store we go to every so often will have the rest of the books next few times we go. (Hoping that people will donate their old books in favor of the new reprint, which I don't really care for the look of it.)
Oh, he's a terrier mix? I bet he's hyper, XD. (Our only pure breed dog is a Boston Terrier, and at twelve years, she's just now settling down ... some.) ^_^"
It's definitely nice to meet you, though. ^^ |

| GAME OF THRONES *shriek* It's awesome that you're into archaeology! My advisor has her degree in archaeology, and the class she teaches revolving around what she studies is really fascinating. Totally awesome that you like ancient China as well. My major is Asian art history, more specifically in Chinese art. I'm really difficult to stop once I get going about Chinese anything. >.>;; Anyway, welcome! You will love it here. |

| Welcome! YES. MORE ZELDA FANS.
ZELDA FANS UNITE~! <3
I'm excited for the new game, too! I put a reservation for the collector edition. I've never spent almost $80 for a video game, but...who can deny a soundtrack and gold Wii remote!?
Because of that game, I will be broke for a month. XD |

| Wait... Gold Wii remote? I did not know about that feature when I pre-ordered Zelda before the summer started. No one offered me the collectors edition. *Pout*
Oh well, I'll be too busy playing the new Legend of Zelda to care about whether my Wii remote is white, black, or gold. ^.^

| Haha, well it may be a new thing now. I pre ordered mine a couple of weeks ago. You can probably go back to Game Stop or wherever and make the preorder for that. |

Thats cause the collectors edition wasn't announced until a few weeks ago. You definitely need to go upgrade! It also comes with a soundtrack and the remote for $69.99. Not a bad deal for $20 more. I'm so getting the collectors game and guide. And welcome to the forum! Yay fellow Zelda fans! Glad to have you here! |

| Hallo there! Wonderful to have you with us. That is so exciting about your new puppy! Goodness, I am sure that you will be quite busy with him! Hee. My grandfather always used to say that a dog is like a child that never grows up. But they are so worth it! You must post photos. Ooh, I have been so curious about Pottermore myself! But I have heard about the traffic problems and I cannot afford anymore distractions in my life right now. XD Again, welcome to the forum. If you have any problems or questions, do be sure to contact me about them. I am always here to help. |

| To post photos, click on the little picture of the tree, (which is right to the left of the link picture in the little font tool bar) and insert the url to the image.
To get the url, if you use photobucket, double click on the box titled "Direct URL" when you are viewing the image.
If you find it else where online, right click on it and choose "properties" or "image info". Then copy the URL from the little window that will pop up. |

| Well, I don't think I have any pictures of my puppy online. At least, none of the pictures of him online open up into a tab from which I can pull a URL. Oh well, you'll have to take my word that he is adorable. |

| If you right click on an image, you should have an option that says Copy Image Location and then you can paste that link for the picture. Though I'm using Firefox, i don't know how different right click options are for other browsers. |

Kyralih - Lol! My boyfriend and I say that to each other all the time. People who listen in are so confused, because it doesn't feel like winter is coming... at all. They just don't understand our reference. |
