Age and Date of Birth:  Has been reincarnated on Earth for about 20 years


Appearance:
Kero takes on the appearance of a Hokkaido dog, one of the six major dog breeds in Japan. As such, he is a medium size dog, with small triangular shaped ears that stand upright. His fur colour is pure white, is extremely fluffy and has a pitched black leathery nose.  He stands at 52cm tall and weighs 25kg, making him slightly taller and heavier than most dogs of this breed. As Hokkaido dogs have historically been hunting dogs, Kero is extremely muscular. As with most Japanese breeds, he has a long medium size tail that curls towards his back. On his forehead, he has a swirl pattern in a royal purple colour that represents spirits and the afterlife.

As a human, Kero is 6 feet tall with short shaggy white hair, his eyes are almost the same green colour as Aminas. The same symbol rests on his forehead as it does in his canine form. When human, he prefers to wear fashionable, but comfortable clothing.



Personality:
Kero is incredibly loyal, sticking with whoever earns his loyalty. He is also incredibly stubborn. He continued to look for his charge for nearly twenty years and continued to try and make amends with her even after she told him she wanted to nothing to do with him ever again.

He is also incredibly protective of his friends and loved ones, hating to see them in any kind of pain. He’ll do anything he can to try and make the pain stop, including facing down and enemy, regardless of how much bigger or stronger they were.

Due to the long period of time he spent looking for his charge and for all the pain and suffering she went through in an attempt to control her powers due to him being unable to find her in time, Kero has quite a sizable guilt complex. He feels that as a guardian, he is an utter failure. If he had perhaps been stronger, faster, better, something, then Amina wouldn’t have gone through everything she had. He did not know how he would ever make it up to her, but Kero would spend the rest of his life trying.

Now that he and Amina have been reunited, Kero has proven to be extremely supportive of his charge in her endeavors to master he powers. He tries his best to encourage her to keep at it, even when she gets frustrated and wants to quit. He won’t let her thought, and manages to convince her to continue.  

Any Unique Abilities/Skills:
The symbol on Kero’s forehead gives him the gift to be able to communicate and speak any language on the planet. It also gives him some magical powers like being able to produce new henshin items for Amina when the time comes. The symbol also allows him to change between his human form and his canine form.

History:
As Kero is a reincarnated guardian, most of his memories are locked away and information is remembered as he requires it to help Amina, as such, he does not remember much of his previous life.

About twenty years ago, Kero awoke as a guardian. The only memories he retained were the ones he needed in order to find and help his charge. He knew he had one task; to find the senshi he was supposed to be the guardian of. The dog knew if he had awoken then great evil was on its way.

He began to search the area where he had awoken, optimistic that he would soon locate his charge. He couldn’t help but wonder what she was like. However, no matter how hard he looked, he couldn’t seem to find her. Soon days turned into weeks and weeks into months. The dog guardian struggled to keep his hopes up that he would ever locate his charge and begin to fulfill his destiny.

One day while he was searching Tokyo, he felt a flash of the connection with his charge. Grinnig, he began to head in the direction he felt it coming from. As he closed in on where he felt the connection coming from, he felt it snap. If he was in his human form, he would have turned as white as a sheet. The only way that the connection would have snapped was with the death of his charge. He felt his heart shatter. He was too late, he had failed to protect her, and she died as a result. What Kero didn’t know at the time, as that the bond could snap when too much distance was put on it when it was still new and could also be reestablished by being in the same area for a long period of time. Head hung in shame, Kero decided to stay in Japan and wait for his charge to be reincarnated. He could only pray that it would be soon.

Eighteen and a half years later, Kero finally felt the connection with his charge come back to life. This time it was coming from Taiwan. By the time Kero reached the island off the coast of China, the connection disappeared again, leaving the guardian extremely frustrated.

A year and a half later, the connection reappeared in Sapporo. Confused, but determined to finally meet his charge, he left Taiwan and headed in that direction. Finally, after twenty or so years, he had found her. However, things did not turn out the way Kero had hoped.

Hurt and frustrated after spending nearly twenty years struggling with her powers, Amina wanted nothing to do with her guardian at first, feeling that he had abandoned her. Eventually, Amina and Kero were able to work through all the pain and hurt with the help of Yuuta and the other Galilean Senshi.

It turned out that when Kero had felt the bond snap, Amina had been on a plan returning to Canada with her family from a vacation in Japan when Amina had been 5 years old. The connection had been snapped by the sheet distance between where he was and where she lived, as it was a new bond. When h had felt it in Taiwan, she had landed there for a small vacation before beginning her teaching contract in Tokyo. He felt it again when she moved to Sapporo after the events of Decay.



Storyline Specific Information:
Outsiders: The Forbidden Love Saga: Finally reuniting with his charge after a long twenty year search for her, Kero is surprised when she immediately rejects him, wanting nothing to do with him. Confused and hurt, he doesn’t give up, recruiting Yuuta to help him figure out what’s going on with Amina.

She hated him. It was that simple. Kero couldn’t get her words out of his head. I don’t have a guardian! I don’t need a guardian nor do I want one. She had screamed those words at him, face red with anger, before storming out of Kazaki’s music studio where he had found her and some other people who were senshi. He sat there, unable to comprehend what had just happened. His charge was an adult, which meant that she was the person he had felt and believed had died all those years ago. How could this be? And how could she not want them. His ears were pinned to the top of his head in sadness and he couldn’t stop his tail from trying to go between his legs. He was such a horrible guardian that his charge didn’t want him.

This looks to be in order! It's not every day we get a guardian otaku profile, and I really enjoyed reading it.
