* Usagi's head slides on-screen, sweat coming down her hair as she watches Zoisite freak out over nothing*

Tiger's Eye

Tiger's Eye had been listening to the stories the witches told with rapture and amusement, like a little boy being told a bed-time story about his favourite subject. Although the Dead Moon Circus no longer existed formally, it had been all he had known until being taken into Elysian for sanctuary after gaining a true human form. He still thought of things most considered "spooky" and "weird" to be "normal" and "comforting," because that was how it had been in the circus.

Thus, when something tapped him at the story's climax, he was annoyed rather than startled. Why would someone want to interrupt the best part?! Tiger's Eye was about to turn around and complain when suddenly Zoisite convulsed and screamed.

Tiger's Eye jolted back slightly, the banana suit awkwardly impeding his range of motion.

"What's going on?" he blundered in reply to the other man's accusations and commentary, voice slightly panicked.

He never knew what to do when there was so much screaming; it made him uncomfortable. For a moment, Tiger's Eye wondered if it was some kind of Halloween prank, but the cat-suited man looked genuinely upset. This was the second time this evening that he'd seen one of the festivity participants say something about a nightmare. Something felt wrong...

“Coming,” Michiru replied to Hotaru and Haruka’s question, trying to smile despite her uneasiness. She followed them to the bonfire. At least Rei seemed intent on investigating the place too, which meant she already sensed that something was wrong. She looked around at the purple bonfire and marveled at its color for a moment. This was certainly the first time she’d seen purple fire. She suppressed a smirk when Haruka made the remark about the people wearing the costumes being scarier than the costumes themselves. She had to agree with that. And if anyone tried to mess with them tonight, she would make sure they really got the scare of their lives.

As the stories begin, Michiru found herself almost getting lost in the words and the hypnotizing flames. But then a loud and (if she did say so herself) rather girlish scream pierced the night and she turned toward Zoisite, who seemed to be fighting invisible things. “Did you say nightmare?” she asked. She hadn’t seen him nod off, but she hadn’t exactly been paying attention to everyone else either. If the same thing that happened to her and Haruka happened to someone else, then this couldn’t be a coincidence. “I think someone’s messing with us…”

Hotaru took notice with the way that Zoisite was reacting. "This is getting pretty weird". Hotaru said, even though they were at a Halloween-themed town. First Haruka and Michiru were acting weirdly but now Zoisite was acting strangely due to sudden nightmares. She had to admit that the purple bonfire was also strange. 

Hotaru tried to enjoy the ghost stories that were being told. She didn't want to appear scared while dressed as the grim reaper. But she was having a good time. She just didn't want to have a sudden nightmare herself, she knew what could truly terrify her.

Tiger's Eye

"Wow, that's strange," Tiger's Eye commented, listening to Zoisite's tale, "You didn't even look like you were asleep."

He didn't understand what was being said about the food looking gross, though. It was pretty standard fare by Dead Moon standards.

Usagi wasn't at all enjoying those scary stories about ghosts and dead people, and it didn't help that her companions were throwing fits at random and claiming to see things that aren't there.

 *sweat drop* 

- Hahahaaaa, you know guys? Maybe we're getting a little too deep in the spirit of this festival, y'know? Rats, eye balls... And I mean... OH MY LOOK AT THE TIME, maybe we should get going home now!?

*Usagi starts to clumsily tip-toe her way into the nearest exit*

Haruka's hand shot out grabing the back of Usagi's costume pulling her back. "not so fast Koneko." she said before looking at Zoisite. "sounds a lot like what happened to me and Michiru earlier except we had that purple mist stuff around us." she said thinking over it.

   

Hotaru was in shock after seeing the reflection of Mistress 9 in the mirror. Once the mirror collapsed Hotaru wanted to break down and burst into tears. She lost her balance and went face first into the ground. 

"I don't want to relive those days, not those days, please NO!" Hotaru muttered to herself before starting to cry. It was just so sudden that the mirror appeared that Hotaru lost the will to be strong.

As soon as Hotaru landed on the ground Haruka was on her feet moving towards the younger girl. The blond was not good with this kind of thing but she didn't really care she wrapped her arms around Hotaru letting her daughter cry into her chest running her fingers through the younger girls hair. Any one looking at Haruka could tell the blond wanted to kill whoever was behind all of this.

I'm late! VesVes realized with a gasp, pocketing her now half-empty water pistol. She had been invited to a Halloween party in some weird town, and was initially on time. Almost early, in fact. However, her path had been intercepted by three trick-or-treaters and their walking bathtub. Apparently, they were the mischievous sort, and had tried to pull a prank of some sort on her. She ended up escaping using the agility she gained from her Circus days, as well as a few shots from the water pistol she'd brought along as part of her costume.
She rather liked her costume, and was pretty proud of herself for coming up with the idea. At first, she couldn't decide. Should she go as a zombie or a as 'greaser' from the 1950's? Then she decided to combine the two together, and now she was what she called a "Zombified Greaser", with a black leather jacket, ripped jeans, her scarlet hair tied back with a red bandanna, a red shirt, red lipstick, and zombie makeup to complete the undead look. She also had a neon orange plastic water pistol to complete the gangster look.
Walking along the forest and into the town, she finally came across what she assumed to be the Halloween party. She recognized a few people, such as some of her fellow Senshi. "Sorry I'm late, guys," she apologized. "I was held up by some--" She stopped at the sight of Hotaru, obviously in distress over something. "Um..." She said awkwardly, tapping her index fingers together and sweatdropping. She had no idea what was going on and why the girl was so upset. "You okay there?" the redhead asked, as an attempt to be polite, but confusion was written all over her face.

"Well, First Haruka and Michiru have a nightmare" he said  and point to them, "and when we were around the Fire.. I had one... and just now Hotaru had one" he added  "we think someone is playing our worst fears against us " he said

Usagi was now standing at a distance looking at Haruka holding a crying Hotaru. Her own eyes were watering up at the sight. She wasn't too sure of what Hotaru was crying about, but given what she said it could only be her memories of being Mistress 9. Usagi still remembered what it was like to face Mistress 9 and the toll it had cost on everyone. She never wanted to see someone like Hotaru go through it again.

After hearing Zoisite Usagi closed her eyes, clenched her fist in front of her face and screamed:

- I've seen bad pranks before but this one ices the cake! I've had enough of this awful place and I'm just about ready to punish someone!

Tiger's Eye

When the little girl started to cry, Tiger's Eye just felt awkward. He couldn't even think of something to say. The man was very thankful that the other party-goers stepped in and did their best to comfort her. Crying was still one of those things that he didn't really "get." Maybe with time it would seem less confusing and he'd be less passive.

Tiger's Eye was surprised to see someone else from the Circus join them--that red-haired one. One of the quartet group. He didn't know their names.

"Oh." VesVes wasn't quite sure what to make of Zoisite's explanation. One part of her wanted to turn around and leave. She'd come here to have fun, eat candy, party around, and hide in random spots and jump out and scare people. Not for possibly paranormal situations. However, another part of her knew that leaving would be incredibly rude and selfish, even for her standards. And besides, if she helped everyone overcome this situation, then she could have a good time afterwards.

Then she heard Usagi speak. Her Majesty's past form... she realized. That's Sailor Moon! She'd never met Sailor Moon on friendly terms before (with the Coming of Age Ceremony being a possible exception). "Usagi, right?" she asked, remembering what Chibiusa told her about her sharing a name with her mother. "Mind if I help you in punishing this...thing?" Let it try to scare me, she thought, both hands in either of her jacket pockets. One hand gripped her water pistol and the other gripped her henshin stick. I'm not scared of anything! Or so she thought. She really couldn't think of anything off the top of her head that would scare her.

 

"Alright.. what ever is messing with us, Come on out and Face me.." he said and then he held his arm out and made a long ice crystal appear.. he held it in his hand he was ready to fight.

With hearing this taunt, the purple fire vanished as purple steam rose from the fire pit. The purple smoke dashed past vesves and settled up on a hill where the gate to the cemetery was. An image began to take form, but it was impossible to make out what it was from the distance.

"Then come and get me" The purple whatever it was monster growled at the girls before taking off into the cemetery.

Michiru listened to Zoisite explaining about his dream, which she had to admit was pretty scary. She was no fan of rats herself. Usagi was about to make a fast exit, but Haruka had stopped her. “Don’t go running off on your own, we have better chance together,” she said to the blonde. They were supposed to be protecting her, after all, and they couldn’t do it if she disappeared on her own.

Then Hotaru suddenly fell to the ground, looking distressed, and Michiru rushed to her side along with Haruka. As Haruka held her close, Michiru felt anger bubbling up within her at the sound of Hotaru’s crying. This could not go on any longer. Whoever it was could mess with her, but not Hotaru. That was taking it too far. She was already putting her hand into her pocket to grab her transformation rod even as Usagi was yelling at whoever it was that she was going to punish them. It looked like tonight might turn into a battle after all.

As Zoisite called out to their mysterious enemy, the flame suddenly died out and the smoke flew up to a hill. Michiru squinted to get a good look on the figure but it was impossible to discern from so far away. As it challenged them to get it and ran off into the cemetery, Michiru did not hesitate. She ran after it straight into the cemetery, determined not to lose its tail.

Tiger's Eye

Tiger's Eye was starting to wish that he still had his whip. He felt really defenseless with all this fighting going on! (He was pretty sure the "1, 2, 3" trick didn't work anymore. A shame, really. But if their opponent was a spectral cloud then it wouldn't be effective anyway.)

Regardless of that, the man in the banana suit hurried after the teal-haired woman towards the cemetery. He wasn't going to be left behind!

Hotaru appreciated being comforted by Haruka and Michiru. She could tell that alot of the people around her had really gotten angry at whoever was causing these nightmares. After Michiru ran off after the purple fire, Hotaru got up and got out of her distressed state. 

"I'm coming after whoever this is as well!" Hotaru shouted, following Michiru and Tiger's Eye. "Whoever this is, they are not getting away with this any longer." Hotaru said preparing to take out her transformation stick once they cornered the enemy.

Haruak nodded fallowing after the others. She easily caught up with Michiru and slowed down so to stay with the other girl. As soon as she got her hands on this thing well the blond wasn't going to think in detail right now.

Usagi was coming out of her serious stance and noticed that everyone was leaving without her.

Waving her arms and legs around in mid-air, she screams:

Hey, Wait for me!

"Eyah!" VesVes yelped with surprise as the smoke suddenly sped past her, missing her by inches. When it taunted everyone, she took a tense, ready-for-action stance and shouted, "Oh yeah? I think I will!" With that, she dashed after it, noting that practically everyone else was as well. She easily weaved around the tombstones of the cemetery, jumping, dodging, vaulting, and somersaulting over them with ease (though she was mostly doing this to show off). With a confident smirk, she brought her henshin stick out, ready at an instant's notice to shout her transformation phase in case they managed to corner the...thing.
