I'm talking about the time in During the Silver Millennium. Okay so in Sailor Moon each planet has a solider guarding it. The moon and the earth had people living on them during that time period. Do you think people live on the other planets as well?

I feel like there has to be some form on life on those planets. What's the point of protecting them if there was no signs of life?

I used to always think they had the same type of setup as Sailor Moon on their own planets before I was old enough to understand that if they were on the moon they couldn't exactly be on their planets at the same time :p

But Neptune Uranus and Pluto resided on their planets for a while and watched from afar, maybe the inner scouts were close enough to travel around? Hahahaha, I don't know -.-

I guess I always assumed there were other courts actually. I mean, you had a castle, and a planetary princess, and it makes sense for there to be at least SOMETHING to be princess of.

Almost definitely, each planet had their own Princesses and how can you have Princesses with their own castles without anyone to rule? Monarchies only work when somebody confirms the power.

Also in Codename: Sailor V, Adonis came from Venus as well which confirms life on Venus at the very least.

Yeah I think that too. I can picture each planet having their own court and then the citizens they rule over. Queen Serenity probably gave the technology to the planets so people could live on planets like Mercury and Venus. Also the inners and the outers had to have some kind of mother. People just dont randomly appear out no where. lol

I dunno XD I would want to guess that any life for these planets would be on the main satellite (moon) of the respective planet. I mean you can't really live on gas giants, for example. So I would think that, for example, Jupiter lived on the main satellite (like the biggest) and ruled there and they just called her the Princess of Juipter/Guardian of Jupiter.

It should be taken into account that the Princesses of the Past were likely not humans like in the 20th Century. More like a race of similar, but more advanced species which may have been to easily survive the harsh conditions or they were simply different, i mean the Moon is a not a habitable location but an entire civilization survived there. They never really use the word "human" to describe the Moon people. The castles are shown to be hovering around the planets and are all named after Moons, except for Venus and Mercury which were named after spacecrafts that explored the two planets so they might have just lived on the castles. I think both ideas are very possible or the other theory:

Oh, I was just going off your post about not all the senshi just magically appeared. ^^* I wasn't talking about Serenity's birth.

Nah, in the manga as well. ^^ When they visited the ruins of the moon kingdom, Queen Serenity said something like "In your past life, you didn't really like the artificial wind and nature with you under the domes. This is why you often went to earth."

If there are Senshi for other planets, then there must be life on them... I mean, at the end of Sailor V that one dude said he was from Venus, so there has to be life on there. Luna and Artemis come from another planet (Mau, I think), so there has to be life on there.

The Outer Senshi protect the Inner from outside forces, which means there must be live on far-away planets which try to attack them so... yeah, I think there is.

I still think planets with life on them are kinda rare. I easily picture planets like Coronis and Mermaid as being in the same solar system, but with only one of those planets having life on it. Why should earthlings the only one to be oblivious to the life in outer space?

One of the musicals makes a distinction between "the planets in the past" and "the planets of the present". As implied by the Sailor Soldiers, there was life on all their planets in the Past era (though its not said outright theyre almost certainly referring to the Silver Millennium if you assume that Princess Moon is Princess Serenity). However in the present "the Earth is all alone" which is why they all come together on the Earth. Perhaps when Saturn dropped the Glaive on the Silver Millennium she did so for the entire Solar System barring the Earth =\ but that's just out of nowhere.

Lol miki is a walking myu encyclopedia! I always liked to assume they all had life just like Earth did. I always think of Jupiter as a planet with rich vegetation , and Uranus and Venus would have both been very dry desert like planets. Neptune would ha e been a water planet with Very little land and even perhaps a race of people that could habitate water and land at the same time.

When putting into account things like the fact it's impossible for humans to live in certain conditions, let's not forget that it's also impossible for there to be girls that turn into magical sailor senshi, and that they lived on the moon without gas masks and whatnot

If nothing else it could have been like, a colony-like situation. I think we only know Venus was populated for sure, since it was mentioned in Codename: Sailor V. Like, they had a proper army and everything that was called up to help in the fight against Earth.

It's sailor moon and not to be confused with real life and with sailor moon anything is possible right?

PGSM had the Moon Kingdom living under a crystal dome, whose to say that couldn't have happened elsewhere?

Or like in Cowboy Beebop, where Venus was just terraformed into livable conditions.

Well there's castles on the other planets, afterall haha. So I guess it's safe to assume there's got to be at least servants on the planets while the princesses are away.

Then there's also the Senshi that had their Star Seeds taken to create the Sailor Animamates (like Mau had Sailor Mau, and Luna and the others are from there too)

I always imagined the inner planets as having quite a lot of citizens, but not the outer planets. When we're shown the outers' castles, they just look so... lonely. And also seems like Sailor Pluto is chronically alone at her guardian post. Maybe other castles had some necessary staff, just a few people to maintain a life support system and other systems.

Well the inners had guardian spirits. Is that what you are referring to?

And also I wonder if Pluto was watching the Door from her castle or staying directly near it. Pluto is shown as a person skilled in computers, maybe she's just monitoring everything with a computer. But she also is referred as "standing at the Door of Time" (for example in her myu song), which must mean that she's literally standing there all the time (poor are her legs...). I don't know if she was guarding the Door before Moon Kingdom was destroyed. Why would she even need a castle, then? My guess is that she had someone to help her at that, but after the fall of Moon Kingdom she lost all of her people.

Hmm that's a great question. Pluto is the last planet (sometimes switches positions with Neptune) in our solar system. She would be the first solider to defend the solar system from outside invaders. She would have to be there seeing how Outers stood guard at their castles in the Silver Millennium. So maybe the Pluto standing guard at the Door of Time is a different Pluto?

But who could the different Pluto be? Chronos himself maybe?

I have no idea. I feel like this is turning into a different debate now. lol
