So, sadly I do not have fanart to share, because I fail at drawing manga. I have been doodling around with it a bit but I have yet to create anything related to sailor moon. :\

Although I experiment with different mediums, I always tend to focus on faces. I have this infatuation with strangers -- this notion how the world is comprised of them, people that, in essence, are the same and yet because they are unfamiliar, we do not interact with those we do not know.

Last semester I focused on creating abstracted face by burning them on wood. It was basically pointillism by wood burning and was the most time consuming and frustrating thing that I have ever done. -_- I swear, I got carpel tunnel from them.

Here is just a little doodle that I did. Oddly, he is one of my favorites. Hee. I am not a doodler by any means, so this little guy makes me all happy inside.

My friend had asked me to draw a tattoo for her. Here is the WIP. Graphite and graphite powder.



I scanned it for my friend and ended up putting the original in a frame and giving it to my grandmother for her birthday. She wanted it so badly and really, it was just going to gather dust in my sketchbook. ^^

I used to do lots of pontilism work, but suddenly i was attracted by drawing and well, it's what i like the most. Now, i FINALLY got on Art School and wow, i'm amazed with other's people's works and specially with pontilism - i'm willing to give it a chance again.

And ugh, carpal tunnel. I had to have a surgery, 4 years ago and well, my problem is worse than i thought, unfortunately!

Really incredible work, I'd go visit your gallery and buy something beautiful like that as a center piece for my home. Seriously....really great stuff. Also I really love the last piece you did. Full of melancholy, and there is something really beautiful and haunted about that face.

Thank you all so very much. Your words mean so very much to me, they truly do. Coincidentally, I have much to update on the subject! The reason why I have not been able to be around here as much as I used to is because I have been working non-stop for the past month on my first solo show at school. Everyone who is in the Master of Fine Arts program is supposed to have one but I have been putting it off. Anyway, last night was my show. I have never worked so hard and so stressfully in all of my life and goodness, last night it officially came to an end. I do not like being the center of attention at all, so it was a very nerve-wracking experience. But it is finally over. I showed 13 pieces -- 10 wood burnings and 3 drawings. I will be posting more photos later but here are a lot of WIPS that I did over the past month.
