I am not a Sailor Moon collector really, aside from the manga. But today I received something far too wonderful not to share. I knew a girl online who had his item and told me that she would give it to me. But that was eons ago and I forgot about it. Well, what do you think arrived in the mail today... (apologies for less-than-stellar photos).


The Sailor Moon volume 2 artbook. You guys, this truly is INCREDIBLE in person. I have seen HQ scans but they just cannot compare to the real thing. I mean it. If you were ever tempted to buy one but they seem too pricey (which they are) I can just tell you now that they are WORTH it! I just, I don't know. Maybe because art is my thing but good god, I just cannot stop running my fingers over these pages.

And I thought while I was at it... I used to have a pen-pal yonks ago from Japan. She wasn't into Sailor Moon so much anymore so she would send me stickers and cards and even drew some lovely pictures for me! I'll take better individual pictures perhaps later. I keep them all in a little wooden box.

OH my god! You are so lucky! That art book looks so beautiful. One day I will have my hands on at least one of them! Also, I love the penpal stuff. I had a neighbor who was from Japan and their daughter would play with my sister sometimes and I think she drew me a little Sailor Moon picture because she knew I liked it, but I wish I knew where i put that. T_T

Oh, that is so cool! I wish I knew some one now who was a mangaka so they could draw me all the Sailor Moon goodies I could ask for. ^^ I am so selfish. Haha. But that old penpal also drew me an Ami picture as well, I think. I have to go check because I'd really love to share it! Pretty fanart is the best.

Oh gosh, so would I. They are just beyond beautiful and utterly priceless. Although, I do think it is quite cruel of people to sell them for $1000. Who can afford that, really. :/

Hee, my wifie Sailor Mars gave them to me after she scanlated them for her site, MissDream.org. I must confess, I love torn ruined books. I love how they feel a little fatter and seem to have a story behind them. ^^ I cannot bring myself to rip up my own books though. lol.
