YouTube are take sailor moon episodes down :O,this is a post from one of my admins on another site.

Apparently Toei, The company that owns it, is taking all the episodes down.
This is absolutely CRAPTASTIC!!!


Nobody has episode 61 anymore!
Except in the American version, which isn't quite as good as the original.

*Headdesk.* Not one, but two purges? This is getting rather ridiculous. They had better be planning on re-releasing the series as whole.

you should stop bitching about YT. YT are a LEGAL site and part of google.
when a company sees they content there and youtube whould say "no we dont delete it" they would get a LAWSUIT from countless companys (for content that they didnt even uploud by themself). and i didnt talk about anime only...

if you want to hate someone you have to say "i hate you TOEI" and not Youtube.
btw i understand why Toei delete episodes, they TRY to seel the DVD & TV rights to various companys all over the globe so its nothing special that they try to erase illegal stuff from the internet (esp youtube.)

I hate the fact that almost every video has an advertisement now, some of them you can't skip and a lot of them don't load correctly :p

i know various "famous" german youtubers who have that.
if you are a youtube associate and uploud videos with your OWN content then you can make money with your videos

I did not know that,but still YouTube not good as it used to be...

bunbun you're only thirteen, so I don't see how you could've gotten into the show much since you'd been like two or three when the show went off. Sorry but this just puzzles me lol.

you all just should be patient..

it's more possible that a company licensed SM without do many illegal stuff on the internet. understandable enconomic reason.
i understand toei why they delete the episodes (and YES they delete german dubbed episodes too)

It doesn't bother me because I have all the episodes on DVD XD

1. the R1 Season 1 - 4 english subbed release from ADV-Films and Geneon.
2. or the japanese R2 release without english sub.
3. or your italian and have the italian dvd's

if you have a english subbed version who are not adv or geneon its just a BOOTLEG ( = supporting criminals)

Yeah I watched it that young I was a huge fan, but when I was like eight I had forgot about it until my big brother brought me five videos and I started to reamer the episodes,and it had also came on DIC in the morning when i was going to school.now I have twenty one videos and DVDs.But now i just reamber some thing I think some one thew away my Sm walet we I was six .

OH yeah i forgot when the show went off the originals episodes was playing on D.I.C in 2003 or 2004

I meant the original ones 1-200 not bootleg, and I don't think it matters what I support. They're all ADV except Stars. That's awesome BunBun! You're so kawaii! ^^;

hm not really, my opinion are that real fans should buy official released and not fakes.

not to menton that the quality of bootlegs are most of the time freaking horreble.
i now an anime where the episodes on the bootlegs still have the pixel censore. so it means they just ripped the tv-version for the bootlegs because the official dvd/bd release are uncensored xD

i just write that because they are a lot of naive people (esp when it comes to SM DVDs) who think they have bought an official dvd but it was just a crappy fake ^^

Mine are all original. I actually just realize what I posted without thinking. i only have S and Supers on DVD by ADV, and my friend had the others. Idk why I posted that -_-, but I agree with you fully bootlegs suck.

Hmm well I have bootleg episodes 1-200 English (except stars of course) and Japanese. Of course I want the official ones but guess what..
I have no job, I live with my parents, and what money I do get goes to college. Yes I would rather support the actual show, but however with my layoff and other life issues. I have no money to do that. Its just way to expensive. My bootlegs are actually quite good, could be better but all in all I love them because it lets me watch my favorite show with out blowing through money that can be put to my future.
I do support it but in cheaper ways, like buying new Sailor Moon Items and such. I do have old VHS (from show and all 3 movies) ect. I maybe a collector but I find every way to find the cheapest thing I can.
So I can get my Sailor Moon fix and be able to still go to college.

Sorry its just not going to happen anytime soon.

ok but it pissed me off that some people think they have a RIGHT to watch it for free on the internet.
its everyones own desicion to buy something or not BUT when they dont buy something they havent the right to say "i want it for free"
(refers esp to youtube and other streams torrents).

i mean i watch subbed anime when they are new in japan, but when they are released/licensed in my country and i liked them of course i buy them.

I very much prefer to use legal means, such as animenewsnetwork, Netflix, company websites, etc. But I very much miss being able to watch some of the shows that are no longer available legally. I am always so excited when I found an old copy at Half Price Books. Some of torrents and stuff are of such bad quality and I don't want my computer to get messed up because I visited an illegitimate site.

I completely understand where you are coming from, which is why I think this may be a strong reasons as to why there are anime industries in Japan that stream anime now when its brand new to promote their product into buying it as well (i.e.: NicoNicoDouga).

When the anime is new though, I will say that I typically watch it fansubbed and decided whether I like it enough to buy it when it is avaliable domestically. I highly believe in supporting a franchise that I love but when it comes down to it, when the anime is no longer avaliable domestically or has just been released in Japan, fansubs, scanlations, and Youtube is the way people have been going to in order to watch anime.

There is also a way of imports, which come with a high price tag as well. If I purchase an import from Japan though, there's either a special circumstance or it's a figma/nendoroid that I am looking to collect because When it comes to buying it when its not avaliable domestically, not only can the shipping hurt but the import taxation fees hurt very much. I mean, I have bought the Black Rock Shooter OVA Blu-ray Collector's Edition and the main reason behind it is because the collector's edition actually had English subtitles on it (along with seven other subtitle languages) and it is official (I actually just did that with the anime boxset too with a pre-order XD). I can definitely tell you that that tax, while was expect that I knew I was going to have to pay, didn't realize that I was going to have to pay that much.

Does this hurt the anime industry when it arrives to your country outside of Japan when it is being released and people still do not buy to support it? Yes, it does. Do the very same domestic companies take advice from the fans who have been watching the anime since it was released and such when they catch an error that could be fix before the next volume release? Yes and no - just depends on the company because it takes money to fix things.

There are both positives and negatives when it comes to a touchy subject like this. There are those who buy it when the series is avaliable domestically, there are those who believe they are entitle to watch it for free without having to buy it domestically, and there are those who litterally just doesn't have the funds to buy it (which can be many reasons as to why this is). Just have to be looked upon on all sides of the totem pole when talking about a subject like this.

And now I'm rambling so I'm going to lock my fingers away ^^
