I was thinking about this the other day and thought to myself why didn't Naoko give the inners any special talisman like she gave the outers, and I began to think maybe she did.

Well, Sailor Venus also used the sword from the first season, but then it was never used again. The only thing with Sailor Mars' and Sailor Mercury's items is that they were used in attacks and did not appear to be real items they could call upon outside of that specific attack. I think Rei is shown using a bow and arrow outside of her sailor senshi form at some point in the anime.

I think a spear could also fit Sailor Jupiter pretty well. As a fellow archer, I think it would be kickass if Sailor Mars' used a bow and arrow.

It would be! I just thought hammer because Thor is the Greek God of thunder who supposedly used a hammer when it thundered.

I can see Jupiter using a hammer as well, Anjyu. What about Mercury's mini computer? Could that count as a special item?

She doesn't use it much though. I think it was anime only item. I don't remember seeing it in the manga. However I think she did have that head scanner thing in the manga.

Don't forget Venus's Love Whip [upgraded Love-Me Chain] and Jupiter's Leaves of Oak you guys! They use them for "Venus Love and Beauty Shock" and "Jupiter Oak Evolution" respectively.

When I think of them having talismans, I think of PGSM and the items they possessed there.

I think the situation with the talismans was something included because of the plot and perhaps a growth to additional characters.

I really like the idea of Mars, Mercury and Venus having talismans in terms of their related elements. I think Mercury's computer and eye screen is more or an item than it is a talisman though. Jupiter is an odd one. Her dual powers of thunder and leaves always confused me, although I understand how they come into play. Personally, I always preferred her thunder elements. Leaves just did not seem to make very much sense to me in terms of attack power and having the ability cause actual physical damage.

But the Guardian Senshi and Solar System Senshi are different in terms of their powers and duties, so it kind of makes sense to me why Jupiter and the rest would not have talismans while the Outer Senshi do. Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus are elemental senshi, their power stems from their link to the elements. Uranus, Neptune, Saturn and Pluto are not elemental senshi, (yes, Neptune has the sea but that is more of a general control of the sea rather than linked to water as Mercury is, and Neptune's stronger attack is linked to her Mirror later on).

Anyway, I like that separation and difference of powers. One group attached to the elements and the other group linked to objects that heighten and strengthen their powers.
