Australians love music and Australians love comedy, we don't mind a bit of trivia too! Spicks & Specks was a very popular music quiz show in the last decade, it's a show full of music, laughter and amazing stories about musicians. The show features many unique rounds and stunts like trying to play a vinyl record on a bicycle powered turntable, songs performed by artists using different and sometimes exotic instruments - if any at all, and it's most iconic round where people sing songs using words from other unrelated sources. Try singing Moonlight Densetsu with the words from A Brief History of Time!
To highlight this duality and the fun we have with music this event is designed to be similar to a typical show with two teams of three players. All six players get to choose which team they want to play as and play five unique rounds of questions about all kinds of music, including one round specifically for Sailor Moon fans. :3
The only thing players need to know is that everyone needs access to Discord and thus the Galaxy Cauldron Discord, however at least one player from each team needs to have a microphone as well because one of the rounds is "Substitute" where people sing well known songs using text from unrelated sources, and these can be anything! From random books to instruction manuals to recipes.
Everyone who participates in the quiz gains one of two participation bumpers, one for each team;
but the winning team gets the special signature picture!

Important Dates and Sign Up
Sign up for the quiz starts on Tuesday the 25th
for four days or until all six players sign up and then shortly after on Saturday the 29th. To sign up just reply below the OP and tell me which team you want to play as; Team Usagi or Team Mamoru.

G'day I'm Adam Hills. Welcome to Spicks and Specks, the show where it's hard for me to say but it's easy for me in my dreams; I'm not really sure what that means but it's the lyrics so... audience laughter Welcome to a special show live in the Galaxy Cauldron, celebrating all things Sailor Moon. Know Your Product
Normally our team captains get to pick the questions but tonight one person from both teams can pick one out of four catagories of questions that everyone answers. To make it more interesting the sets of questions are all about music from the different Sailor Moon shows so this'll really separate the Moonies from the fanboys.
Rules of Know Your Product Each set has just three questions and each answer is worth one point, but questions have multiple answers; the first question has one answer, the second has two and the third has three. You don't lose points for getting anything wrong. A total of twelve points is on offer. Fastest fingers first! The first correct reply get the points.

You're not far off the mark Diagnosed, I don't think many people really know this one; there's actually fourteen bonus tracks in the box. So what Naoko's done is some of the CDs there's three bonus tracks, a few more have just one and the rest don't have any. I looked that up on the net and I was genuinely surprised seeing that. I'm kinda sitting here thinking if you're going to throw in that much random bonus music in the collection why not just make a bonus CD out of it? The fans are still going to buy it! audience laughter It's just so weird putting the bonus stuff in random disks everywhere. I can't be the only person who thinks this! audience laughter
Not entirely Malour. It's meant to be a loose and fun game so there's actually no rule against looking up the internet if the question is too difficult or obscure, in fact I encourage it. But at the same time it's acceptable for harder questions like this one, some of the easier ones should be left to your own knowledge.
For two points name the country that recorded a dance mix of Moonlight Densetsu for its dub as well as the album it features in.

I thought it was Germany that did a dance mix of Moonlight Densetsu but I can't seem to find it x.x. Most of their other music is of that genre anyways...
But the North American dub did a remix of their OP that is based off of Moonlight Densetsu! And it was released on "Sailor Moon - The Full Moon Collection"... Is that what you're referring to?

I've heard things about the German soundtrack. They really love their electronica stuff. Wouldn't it be awesome if a German dub for Crystal hired Kraftwerk to do the music? Like try to imagine We Are the Robots in the anime for Hotaru. audience laughter So Italy is the country we were after and the album is called 'Cristalli Petali e Misteri'. Now- audience chuckling You're probably asking yourselves why not ask for the song title? Well we tried looking for it and didn't find anything, we looked it up on YouTube and found nothing, we even downloaded that album and every one of the five tracks are just called 'Sailor Moon Theme' number 1, 2, 3- audience laughter The Italians used five different opening tracks and never bothered to call them anything! They didn't even name the mix, it's officially called 'Sailor Moon Theme Dance Mix'. loud audience laughter I will never complain about DiC ever again!
Speak of the devil; the infamous DiC dub recorded their own music just like other international dubs. Listen carefully; for three points name the songs sung by the voice actresses playing the senshi - so Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars and all that - except Jennifer Cihi who voices Sailor Moon. So I want the songs sung by anyone else but not the lead actress.

I actually have Minako Aino on here but you're right that Ayaka is the actress playing her. Also the actual answer here is this was the last album Minako released before she died. I'll just give you full points. audience applause and cheering And if we're honest you really need the points! audience laughter Last one this round; PGSM ended in September 2004 with the final act of the show but it wasn't the end of the story. A straight to video release of the special "We're Getting Married!!" was available just two months later. Name the other three special acts.
