So I was talking to someone recently and they mentioned one reason that they liked Galaxia is because they felt like if she came up to them with the offer to join her, they would, and that they didn't really feel that way about any of the other villains in Sailor Moon.

I found this interesting because for me personally, I've always found the Black Moon Clan's cause to be most sympathetic. NQS sudden rise to power and the subsequent sudden increase in life span would be enough to make me suspicious of the whole situation, and I could see myself being easily convinced to join the BMC in their early days before Wiseman took over everything and Demand cared more about NQS than his companions, the Earth, or anything else.

Anyways, that got me curious wondering what everyone here on GC thought of it! Forget your favorite, which villain could most likely convince you to join their cause?

 I already have a definite "no" to Shadow Galactica and the dark kingdom-they quite literally had no other reason to exist other then to become "all powerful" or destroy things for the sake of destroying them. To me, both groups are just too extreme-especially Sailor Galaxia. We thought beryl was bad with her punishments for failure-and Shadow Galactica doesn't seem to have people join of their own free will. Neither does Beryl's crew, come to think of it. As much as I love Sailor Galaxia as my favorite villain, I'm staying miles away from her!

I'm with cardea; I'd also most likely join the Black Moon clan, since they actually start out with a relatable ethos. A close second would be the Death Busters, because! Science! Though honestly, some of the labs I've seen operate like the Death Busters, just minus the world domination factor...

As much as I like the Dead Moon Circus some of those monsters are just waaay too freaky for me, and I think Galaxia wouldn't give one the choice or joining her not or; either you follow her or she blows you and your planet up (well, she's probably gonna do the latter anyway, but if you follow her she might spare you). As for Beryl...I feel like there isn't really much of a reason to join her willingly. Like Galaxia, she'll brainwash you into working for her if you don't agree to join her, so there isn't much of an option with either of them. XD;;

I actually chose Shadow Galactica *because* there just wouldn't be a choice with her ...well except for Lethe & Mnemosyne but I didn't like their logic anyhow.... I don't really feel that way about DK.

Their brainwashing abilities didn't seem quite as strong. Galaxia steals your Star Seed to do it, after all. That's pretty quick and complete vs. having to kidnap you and make you lie for a couple of episodes in what looks like a modified Jadeite-style energy sucking pod... Also, DK doesn't seem to need the manpower. They seem to just generate buckets of new youma daily from the same primordial ooze Metalia is connected to. So, if some low level DK youma recruiter came up to me and was like "JOIN USSSS!", I imagine after being turned down, they'd just shrug and make eyes at the next passerby >_>.

It's Death Busters for me, hands-down. I'd gladly put on a lab coat and play Twister with the good Professor any day.

I agree with the sentiment that I'd have to be brainwashed to join the Dark Kingdom, but I'll add that they just don't seem that interested in recruiting additional help. I probably would have avoided the Black Moon Clan, despite their seemingly-sympathetic cause, due to their violent tactics. Dead Moon Circus would be my second most-likely because the circus atmosphere and the focus on living your dreams without real responsibilities in your life has some appeal. Shadow Galactica is actually pretty low on my list, because I don't find myself a fan of Galaxia's personality.

Death Busters because at least Tomoe had not tried to kill any of his subordinates. Sure, they started killing each other but that's the nature of competition for the job.(I'm only sticking with 90s anime version because I couldn't work for any manga versions)

Definitely the Black Moon clan.  The whole concept of Crystal Tokyo honestly irks me.  (And Chibi Usa is my favorite character, go figure! lol)

I'd have to say black moon clan, also. Though I'd probably get killed trying to get the heck outta dodge later once things took a worse turn for the group. I have far too many questions as to how things are regulated in crystal tokyo, and something tells me these questions would go against the entire way that future is built. Close second would be dead moon circus, because it's a circus!  though, again, I'd probably get killed trying to leave once I figured out the place was truly nuts lol

This is a really interesting question! I had to give this one some thought, but ultimately I think I would join the Dead Moon Circus. I can't quite put my finger on why, but something about them just attracts me, with the bright colors, quirky characters, and the circus theme. (Though, Zirconia is pretty terrifyingly ugly, so I think that might put me off a bit XD). I think I would be more likely to get swept up in the lively atmosphere before I even realized the true villainy lurking beneath the surface.

The villain group I would join would be the Death Busters because they are a very amazing villain group and they are my favorite too.

If I were going to join one of the groups, it would be 90s anime Black Moon clan.  Berthier is my favorite of the group so hanging out with her would be awesome, and the 90s dub girls actually survive the story.  I'm finally watching through Crystal and was bummed they all died after one episode each. (I've not read the manga all the way through so I assume they all die pretty quickly in that, too).

Depending on the era:

The Black Moon Clan (any version), The Dark Kingdom, and Death busters <- in that order. 

Mostly because they actually have reasons and then reasons to back it up as to why they're doing an action.  (Like the BMC's ideology of living beyond what humans are meant to makes sense in it's own way.  The DK made sense in their distrust of the Moon kingdom- because if we're honest, they *were* spying on them.  Pretty sure it'd ruffle feathers..  And the Death Busters just wanted a new home where they could survive. That's it.  )

The Shadow Galactica, as since I am looking to join a villain group anyways, I might as well choose the most powerful and likely to succeed (even more so if I knew how far they had already gotten) .
Second probably would be the Death Busters, because the secret-lab-mad-scientists-magic-technology feels are really cool. Their motives aren't even particularly bad or good, and Professor Tomoe doesn't seem to treat his employees too badly. Working for an alternate universe being is probably very dangerous, though (but everyone in the Death Busters is pretty crazy, anyways, especially in the anime series).
Somewhat almost tied with the Death Busters would be the Dead Moon Circus, since they are also quite the weird bunch, and being an evil dream-like magic clown seems like a sufficiently villainous role. As for the other two groups, they may have been more justified in their plans, but that kind of, I don't know, makes them a bit more mundane as villainous syndicates :emoeto:. And I'm not very fond of the Black Moon clan...; so I guess that if I was to be working for evil in Sailor Moon, I would like to go join the most eccentric and wacky organization!

As much as I despise how freaky the Dead Moon Circus is, I'd say that hanging around with both the Trio and Quartet wouldn't be too bad, but the Black Moon Clan takes a pretty close second!
