I think I am doing this right, but please let me know if I need to take this down or move it or anything.
Title: Poetry from the Back of the Harddrive
By: Sailor Arkas
Rated: PG
Fandom: None, at the moment. I will edit this if that changes.
Pairing: None.
Notes: So, I am only halfway finished with my first draft of the Sailor Moon fanfiction I am working on, and I am going to have a LOT of editing before it is ready to even start posting. Not to mention the fact that NANO is going to fall in there, so I bet it will be a while before it is actually ready. With that said, I have decided that I am going to post something else now, to remind myself that I do actually finish some writing, and I have whole big files of poetry floating around that I have no plans for. This seems like a match made in heaven!
Summary: An assortment of poetry, with the only guaranteed connection between them being that I wrote them.
Comments allowed: Please feel free! Constructive criticism is also welcome!
Magic
Words have magic. It’s an odd kind of magic.
They can do a lot of good.
(They can also do harm, of course,
but that is the way of the world).
It should be simple, then.
To find an incantation,
The one to make people think that this will work.
(What “this” is doesn’t matter).
Still, finding the perfect words is hard.
Saying the perfect words for the occasion
Saying something that is true enough to believe
And optimistic enough to comfort
Sometimes seems impossible.
Still, we all try.
And maybe the trying is where the magic is.
Meditation
It can take a dozen dozen forms.
Running. Singing.
Screaming. Reading.
Math. Dancing.
Drawing. Fighting.
Programming. Building.
Breaking. Playing.
Writing. Praying. Breathing.
It is that thing you do, when you feel utterly lost.
And for a blessed moment, whatever is going on around you,
You are at peace.
