|  It's hard to pick a "best dessert" when it comes to French pastry prowess! There are so many wonderful treats to enjoy! A chilled Charlotte filled with custard or fruit? What about a Clafoutis, whether traditional black cherries or other fruits, warm and dusted with just a sprinkling of powdered sugar? The citrus zing of Crêpe Suzette sparkles so brightly against the soft texture of the crêpes! Biting through a crisp choux dough to the custard center of an Éclair is a delight! A caramelized Kouign-amann gives the thrill of a sugary croissant! Who can ignore the iconic Macaron, so beautiful to look at and delicious to eat? How many have wondered if a Mille-feuille truly has one thousand layers? A Profiterole may be a cream puff or perhaps filled with ice cream! The tender delicate texture of a risen Soufflé is like eating a cloud! And can anyone who enjoys apples truly resist a flavourful Tarte Tatin? Which dessert deserves the crown, to be recognized as Le Roi des Bonbons!?
