| Let's face it pokemon isn't a perfect game. There are some things that are annoying in the games. Here's a list of my pokemon pet peeves:
- There is only one file. I wish the game had more than one file. I have been playing pokemon since it came here to America. Throughout these years I have only beaten two games, Sliver and Black. Why only two games? I get bored very easily and restart my file. It would be nice have a second file so I can use it to mess around.
- Deleting an file on the DS games. It's so annoying! You have to use a special button combination and then it asks you like three times if your sure about deleting the game.
- When AI's use moves to confuse your pokemon and it works. Then when you use it doesn't work.
- Walking in caves. I wish they had a patch dirt to find wild pokemon. I know there's repel, but I run into pokemon regardless. The same goes for surfing.
- During double battles moves like surf, earthquake, ect affect your other pokemon. I understand earthquake, but surf? Wouldn't it be going toward the opponent?
I hope this doesn't make me sound bitter. I love pokemon. So got any pet peeves? |

| Haha, I haven't played a pokemon game since the original red, blue, and then Yellow versions. and well, i can see my pet peeves are mostly the same and not much as changed in the game as far as those points above go. OH pokemons! |

| OMG I totally hear you on the save file thing. I'm probably going to go buy a copy of HeartGold because I have that untradable Mew on my SoulSilver and can't start a new game without losing it :c
My main pet peeve- In HeartGold/SoulSilver they'd created the perfect pokemon game with just a couple simple features- the permanent touchscreen start menu, and the ability to run without holding down B. AND THEN BLACK COMES ALONG AND ACTS LIKE NONE OF IT EXISTED UGHHH. Don't get me wrong, I love the C-Gear... but they so could've integrated the features :C |

| I'm not that into Pokemon that much anymore, but it isn't it nearly impossible to "catch them all" anymore? I know some of the Pokemon are only available at specific events or something like that.
All in all, I haven't seen that much change from the first set of Pokemon games to the last. Yes, the Pokemon themselves have changed a whole bunch and I can't even name half of the new ones. Because it has changed so little, I'd rather just play Red/Blue, because I know all of the Pokemon. Well, that and I grew up with those versions. I was in like 4th grade when Pokemon first came out. |

| I always found it annoying when running around with lvl 30+ pokemon and these level 2 - 10 wild pokemon would be like "B!7C#! WHAT YOU DOIN' IN MY TERRITORY?!" I know this complaint would be more valid if you had a pokemon out with you while running around so the little things could go "OH SNAP! Right this way, gentlemen-sirs, right this way to get out of my territory. I'll spread the word so my low-leveled friends and family don't become cannon-fodder." but... well I'd just adore a perma-repel from wild pokemon that were laughably below the average level of your party pokemon. ... unless they were 'reckless' in nature. ...'cause dealing with those punky nerds would be hilarious.
"But Kyralih, what about pokemon collectin'?"
I'm glad you asked, concerned imaginary head-citizen. If you truly wanted to catch 'em all, this feature would force you to spend more time hunting the area for all pokemon in it. If you happened to miss one or two, you'd just have to go back while still in the level range, or use another pokemon you captured that was of comparable level. This would also help with the "Oh! A ___! Shh, tread softly Gargantuan the Amazingist Pokemon Ever; I want to catch this one!" "WHAAAAT MASTER?!" Wild _____ has fainted! "GARGANTUAN, YOU CLUMSY $#!T!!"

| I'm not sure if this was fixed in later versions, but eventually there would be no more ways to earn money. If you already defeated all of the Pokemon trainers... than it was difficult to find money to buy stuff (if you played a game long-term). |

| I know they fixed that for Crystal version (my ultimate favorite version~ with my team of evolution eevees named after the senshi+mask with Serena leading the way with blue pig-tails...) in that trainers could call you back for a rematch.
then again... I don't really remember if they paid you if you won against them again.
Also, I love that you win money for making cute and fuzzies fight against each other. |

| In Red/Blue/Yellow/Green, the only way to make money after beating the game was to sell items, fight the Elite Four, and use Pay Day on wild pokemon. In all the games since there's been ways to refight the regular trainers, so it stopped being a problem c:
omg, that Sailor Senshi playthrough sounds adorable! In one of my Platinum playthroughs I had a Clefable named Dumpling <3 Because it's like, from the moon and stuff. |

| XD Awesome! ^^ and yeah, it was pretty sweet. I did this elaborate thing from trading the eevee from Blue to my Crystal, then having it mate with a ditto five times, walked around until all the eggs hatched, then traded them back to crystal so Jupiter, Mercury and Mars would evolve, then created a new Crystal game with Serenity, caught five tradeable itty bitty pokemon and traded them all out XD Together from hatching <3 and eventually Venus evolved to espeon and Tuxedo to umbreon. ... and ChibiMoon was the togepi (9 o9) .... that I ended up phasing out in favor of Freezie, my Blue-game articuno. XD He helped us clean up with the champions. |

Don't get me wrong, I love the C-Gear... but they so could've integrated the features :C I never care for the running without pressing B feature in HeartGold/SoulSliver. Also in every gen they'll do away with a previous feature. For example in gen 2 we have the radio and times passes. In gen 3 and the remakes of gen 1 they did away with that. In the remake of gen 1 we have a match call device. I believe we didn't have that feature in gen 4? I don't remember. I know for a fact in gen 5 you can't call trainers to rebattle, but there are places where you can refight trainers. I'm glad you agree about the save file thing. I usually get two games of the same gen so I can have extra file. Plus usally the third game of a gen has extra stuff. The only gen where I didn't get the third game was gen 4 because I really didn't like that gen. Then there's gen one. I only have the third game because that was my first pokemon game and at that that time I didn't know the differences between red, blue, and yellow. I got yellow because pikachu was on it. |

| I never liked the fact you could trade up pokemon from the GB/GBC versions to the GBA ones and then to the NDS ones. There was some coding issue or whatever between versions, but it still annoys me. I have Mews from my Pokemon Red that I would have loved to trade up through the versions and couldn't. The only way I could involved some very sneaky ways and a pokemon creator. |

| Very very sneaky. It's a program that allows you to modify your game saves and give you more pokemon that you create. It's possible to create "offical" pokemon and ridiculous ones and also allows you to make event only pokemon. However, in order to use it (at least for me), it required two DS', a special card for one DS with a dumped rom of your game, and an offical cart. |

| The only time I ever trade is to get a pokemon to evolve. There is one trading feature that bugged me if you want to call it trading. It was in SoulSliver You know how they moved the Safari Zone and put it in Johto? Well they replace the one in Kanto where you get use your pokemon from the GBA games, but it takes your GBA pokemon away from your game. I think you can't get them back. Oh! Another trading feature that bugged me was if you trade with a computer in the game their pokemon all have nicknames. If you take it to the name rater you can't rename it. I don't know if that applies to getting a pokemon from your friend. Like I said I rarely trade. |

| OMG I loved the computer's nicknames - so corny! And I made it my goal that, when trading with people, I would first give it the absolute weirdest nickname I could think of, just so they can go "REALLY!? >C" |

| LOL Kyralih. I never nickname my pokemon. I tried it once, but I'm not creative when it comes to names. There are some CPU nicknames that I don't mind. There were two that I wanted to change, but the stupid name rater wouldn't let me. |

| The fact that we have to now delete the previous file to start over a new game pisses me off. I wish I would have known this and not wasted my damn time. |

Another petpeeve of my is generation bashing. I can not stand it when people who have been playing since gen 1 bash the later gens. I don't understand it. No gen is perfect. Each gen has sucky pokemon. |

| OMG YES PLUTO!! I totally agree with you.
Nice little chart I made: Gen 1 and 2: Team Rocket just wanted to steal pokemon. Not sure if they wanted to take over the world..? Gen 3 Team Aqua and Magma wanted to change the world by either creating more water or more land. Gen 4: To be honest I have no idea what Team Galactic's plan was. The plot for gen 4 was bit a confusing. It had something to do with creating a new universe/dimension? Gen 5: To create two worlds for humans and pokemon. Then something else happens, but I don't want to give away spoilers.
As you can see Gen 5 in my opinion had the best plot. It was still simple, but if you look at all the fanart about N's childhood you see a deeper side to it. |

You forgot Gen III spinoff games - Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness. Implied abuse at the most extreme for pokemon to become "shadow" pokemon. Pokemon attack trainers directly. Just imagine what the games could've been like if the producers had kept with the introduction feel? We would've finally gotten Adult pokemon! |
