Personality: Sapphire is highly intelligent and knows a good many things about both alchemy and technology. He is quiet and introspective, and can come off as cold and stern. He has an innate sense of discipline, a strong work ethic, and can muster an almost single minded focus. To accomplish a goal, he can drive himself to work tirelessly and expects those around him to do the same, often issuing biting insults to those who he perceives as slacking. While strangers may only see this cold, calculating, logical exterior, he is not without emotion. Sapphire is fiercely loyal to his older brother Prince Diamond and cares about him above all things. He looks up to his older brother who has protected and guided him when they were younger. He also knows Diamond is the only one of their clan who truly understands and appreciates his talents as the others tend to rib him for his shortcomings in physical prowess. As much as he may admire and value the leadership of his brother, his logical and analytic side does not allow him to follow Diamond blindly. Of all of the Black Moon Clan members, Sapphire is the least afraid to speak his mind and call out if something does not seem right. Additionally, though he may seem cold, he has a soft heart. He cares for the things and beings he creates, his droids, and though they were created for a purpose, he does not wish harm to come to them. He is somewhat protective over how they are used. While Diamond's actions are fueled by feelings of revenge and anger, Sapphire's feelings are more wistful. He does not necessarily wish destruction, only to be able to experience the bounties that the Earth has to offer. He has a sentimental side and a love of flowers, something he does not see much of on Nemesis. Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Skilled in alchemy and possesses a great knowledge of technology and the sciences. History: After several conflicts with the queen of Crystal Tokyo their clan was near defeat and facing exile, though their disgust at the unnatural ways of Crystal Tokyo had not diminished. They were banished to a lone planet called Nemesis where instead of finding defeat, they found Wiseman, a powerful being who was able to breathe new life into their cause by the powers he bestowed upon them. Nemesis was where Sapphire grew up alone with his brother and what was left of his clan. Every day of his life was a reminder that they lived in barrenness while the queen reigned in beauty and plenty. It fell to his older brother Diamond to lead the remnants of their people, with the help of Wiseman, to vengeance and victory. But Wiseman’s powers came at a cost. Sapphire noticed how it seemed to change his family in little ways. The energy from the malefic crystal earrings seeming to make them more antsy, more irritable, and certainly more aggressive. He was alone in this observation and could convince no one of the fact, although there was little that could be done. They needed Wiseman’s power. So he suited himself with limiting his contact with it, using it only in the creation of the droids and refusing to wear the black earrings. It only made him seem weaker to his more power hungry clan members who only snickered all the more. It mattered not to him as long as he could help his brother retake Earth what anyone else thought. It was not until after the invasion of both future and past Tokyo that the blue haired alchemist saw the writing on the wall as he watched his brother fall deeper into Wiseman’s clutches, obsessing at every given moment over the queen and her beguiling eyes. It gave him great pain to watch his brother slowly begin to lose his mind and there came a point when he realized Wiseman was going to be their undoing. He endeavored to spy on Wiseman, to see what his true goal was. But when he was found out and confronted alone and powerless Wiseman seriously injured him. With the last of his strength the younger brother sent himself to Earth to find Diamond and warn him, but despite the help of the Ayakashi sisters turned traitors and of the sailor senshi, it was the last thing he ever did, giving his life in a vain attempt to get through to his brother. Other Noteworthy Facts: Sapphire is very fond of gardens and flowers Storyline Specific Information: Phantoms - Phantoms:
P L O T S U M M A R Y There was no Moon Kingdom. There was no Moon Princess, And there was no Silver Crystal. No, in this universe, they did not exist. Instead, there was another kingdom, located on another planet - one that was, in this world, far more valuable than the Moon. This planet was known by the name of Nemesis, ruled by its one and only heir, Princess Esmeraude, who, in turn, is guarded by her four legendary soldiers to prevent all threats from obtaining Nemesis's most cherished possession, the Malefic Black Crystal. Eventually, the neighboring planet's kingdom - one of Nemesis's most valuable partners in trade- begins to become host to an unusual array of attacks, coming from an uprising of their own people who wanted to take over Nemesis. Under Death Phantom's control, the older prince of the kingdom, Prince Demande, agrees to an arranged marriage between himself and Esmeraude. What was once a fake relationship between these people, soon becomes something entirely more. - Other story details:
notes: this is like a silver millennium rp, but with the black moon clan. - Esmeraude is like "Serenity" and Demande is like "Endymion" - The Spectre Sisters act as the "Inner Senshi" in this roleplay - Death Phantom is like "Metallia"
- No one, other than Esmeraude and the royal family, knows that the Sisters are actually Esmeraude's Guardians. - When not in Senshi form, the Sisters pose as "princesses" - Koan and Berthier are the single pringles of this rp - they will not end up with anyone - Death Phantom is controlling Demande into slowly taking over Nemesis. He forgets his purpose once he falls in love, but soon returns to his cold ways once he is brainwashed. (That would be when the destruction and death starts happening).
- Petz = oldest sister - Calaveras = second oldest - Berthier - third oldest - Koan = youngest - Demande = older brother - Saphir = younger brother
- Demande refused to leave his planet without his brother. There is an unknown reason for this - Rubeus was a soldier-in-training for the Prince's armies. He was considered the best and brightest. He was sent to Nemesis with Demande to protect him. (He acts as his bodyguard.)
( setting ) Unlike the anime and manga, Nemesis, in this universe, is not a dead planet - it is actually quite the opposite. It is full of lush, healthy vegetation and breath-taking sights, much like Earth, and can actually sustain life with and without the use of magic. The population has made refuge over one large continent, which spreads over the entire planet, and is ruled by only one ruler. This continent is split up into five different provinces, each with its own unique attributes and purpose to the economy.
*Ahaura: The capital of Nemesis, name and location of Esmeraude's kingdom
Other locations: *Timaru - hometown of the Spectre Sisters Karitane, Oban, and Pakiri
( relationships )
Esmeraude & Demande At first sight, Esmeraude is impressed - and admired - that the royal court was able to find a suitable suitor for her, however, the same could not be said for Demande. He found Esmeraude to be beautiful, yes, as was natural for him to think, yet he assumed that she was not fit to rule Nemesis - especially by his side. So, whenever he could, he would try to avoid her, until, eventually he warms up to her. By the end of the rp, he is convinced that he has fallen in love with her, yet disaster strikes once they both know their feelings for one another. (Their love ends in a tragic way.)
Saphir & Petz Before she was one of Esmeraude's guardians, she was nothing more than a normal girl, and he, a prince. Because he was younger, therefore not necessarily next in line for the throne, the blue-haired brother would sneak away from the royal tutors, stowing away on the neighboring planet - after all, who would think that he had left the kingdom - often finding himself in trouble more-so there than on his own planet. One day, he had left his planet to meet one of his Nemesis friends when, suddenly, a horse-drawn carriage managed to speed down the road, crushing everything its path. Luckily, a certain green-haired girl stood nearby and saved him by pushing him out of the way. From then on, the two became best friends, which eventually turned into something more. He would sneak off to see her whenever he could, and she him. However, he never told her that he was a prince from another planet, and she never told him about her guardian duties. It all became too much when his royal duties became heavily enforced upon him, as her duties were also getting in the way. He broke up with her, leaving her heart-broken, and she swore to never love any man again. When they meet again, they are determined to find out the truth.
Koan & Rubeus At first sight, Koan's feelings are for him are meant to be affectionate. Naive about love, she is almost positive that she is in love with him and they are meant to be together. Likewise, Rubeus finds her to be nothing more than an annoying pest, rather taking more interest in a certain someone else.
Calaveras & Rubeus He finds her much more interesting than Koan. He's not sure what it is about her, but he's determined to win her heart. And (eventually) win her heart, he does. They begin seeing each other, but Calaveras, afraid of seeing Koan's heart broken, pretends to take no interest in him when she's around.
Berthier & Koan / Calaveras & Petz They are often seen together / They are more often seen together
Esmeraude & the Spectre Sisters They're like BFFs. All of them.
Demande & his entourage Yeah, they give him advice and whatnot. For lack of a manlier term, they are friends.
Spectre Sisters & Demande They don't really care for him unless it concerns Esmeraude. He doesn't really care for them either.
Demande's entourage & the Spectre Sisters Unless it concerns their respective partners, they don't really mind the others.
( deaths ) When Demande is brainwashed again in the end of the rp, he will order his people to kill the Guardians, as he will take on the task of killing Esmeraude himself. Every respective lover will face their partner in the ultimate final battle.
Since Koan and Berthier do not have any respective lover, Berthier will, most likely, also be killed by Demande's hand when trying to protect Esmeraude, and Koan will die by Rubeus's hand. As Koan dies, he will explain to her that he was never in love with her, and that it was always Calaveras who held his heart. And when she's shocked and too stunned to say her last words, he'll tell her that he's now on his way to kill her too, and leave her dying.
Source: RP Sample: Sapphire felt the cold pillar at his back, cold like the pit of his stomach. Being right had never felt so terrible. The truth had been laid out for him all too well in Wiseman’s words. I have to warn nii-san! he thought as he carefully retreated. But would Diamond listen? He seemed so closed off from Sapphire lately that he wondered how he would get through to his older brother now. Running through the reactor room he paused, feeling the overpowering waves of energy washing over his body. It was too much. The reactor was too strong, another step in Wiseman’s plan. It couldn’t withstand that strain too much longer. Wiseman was going to blow them up! Removing the power chip with shaking hands, he wondered if he was doing the right thing, cutting the power to their only hope of victory. But there was little time to ruminate. He whirled as Wiseman’s voice echoed behind him. “Wiseman!” he shouted, eyes narrowing in accusation. The cloaked form's demands for him to return the chip only tightened his grip on it as he stood firm. “What in the world is Death Phantom?!” beautiful silence and transparent nothingness he thought as he processed Wiseman’s explanation, just pretty words for death and destruction. He must be stopped! This is not what we wanted!. Wiseman’s candid explanation made one thing clear. Wiseman did not expect him to live through this interaction. Fear sent blood racing through his veins. Still he pressed his caped nemesis trying to glean all the information he could. No matter what, if he could just learn of the plot and tell his brother…no matter what came after that….he gripped the chip tightly, feeling it cutting into his palm just as a blast of energy shot from Wiseman’s hands. He blocked it, raising his other hand and used the last remnants of dark energy he had within his body from earlier alchemy work, he put up a shield. But it did not hold and for once he felt a pang of regret at not accepting the malefic black earrings as pain ripped through his body and, crying out, he used what shreds of energy he had left to teleport to Earth. He found himself in a park, could feel the warm sun on his back as he forced his body to move, to carry him to Diamond. His vision blurred and he staggered on his feet before he finally reached his limits and fell against a tree. The last sound was of his own voice calling out his brother’s name from what seemed a distance as the world went black. |
