I haven't posted in awhile and I just thought of something XD

Anyway, so the other night, my best friend and I were watching the Sailor Moon R movie. When Fiore appears after the senshi were fighting the energy sucking flower, how come Fiore is able to immediately go "oh, you're that girl from yesterday!" to Usagi even though she is in senshi form and not civilian form? No other enemy seems to make this connection. Is Fiore the only smart one? Is it because it's a movie and once the enemy finds out that Usagi is Sailor Moon it's all downhill from there? Or is it just inconsistency? o.o and if Fiore just knew because once an enemy finds out Sailor Moon is Usagi and it's all downhill from there, how did he find out? I figured since no enemy (or really anyone for that matter) is able to connect the senshi to their civilian forms that the senshi had some sort of like...masking/cloaking feature when transformed that hides their identity somehow...though this doesn't seem to be the case for Fiore. It's ":idea: you're that girl from yesterday that was in civilian form" to Sailor Moon. I found this both interesting and odd.

Thoughts?

Does he say that before or after Tuxedo Mask shows up?

Fiore is a rather interesting case because he does not seem to have trouble recognizing any of them. Which is how it should be, quite honestly. But it is almost like Fiore knows Mamoru so well, has only ever known Mamoru - in truth it should have been quite difficult for him to find Mamoru, a young man who Fiore had last seen when he was a boy. But I get the feeling that after Fiore parted from Mamoru, he never interacted with anyone else. So it was almost like all he ever knew was Mamoru and in that sense would immediately be able to sense him. To me, Fiore could recognize people by feel and therefore was not thrown off by physical appearances.

To be honest, it never felt odd to me that he knew Mamoru and Usagi right away when they were disguised. It made sense to me concerning him.

Personally, I thought it was an effect like the luna pen... I could have sworn I read/saw some where that said there was a cloaking/magical interference that was surrounding them when they transformed. I thought Usagi brought it up with luna the first time the Luna Pen was used. And around the time when she went to Princess D's crystal party, because she was worried her dad would recognize her.. So I always assumed it was that.

I think he recognizes Sailor Moon as Usagi after Tuxedo Mask shows up. I think since Fiore has this special bond with Mamoru, he is connected and can sort of feel his aura, even after all these years and Mamoru is grown up, he is still able to find him. There fore he is able to immediately recognizes Tuxedo Mask as Mamoru, and I think he put two and two together after with Sailor Moon based on their interactions, what they were saying, the way she was fighting for him, etc.

I would have to watch the movie to be sure but if Fiore makes that comment about Usagi after Tuxedo Kamen arrives, it would clearly explain things.

Ah you know what, I double checked...he recognizes her before Tuxedo shows up. So i was wrong. :/

Well we can't explain how he recognizes Sailor Moon right away, but at least we can attempt to explain how he's able to recognize Mamoru after all those years. I mean, Mamoru doesn't even recognize the guy right away.

Also as I stated above, Fiore may be able to sense auras and was able to recognize Sailor Moon's right away since she might have one that stands out.

I definitely agree with Fiore being able to identify Mamoru as Tuxedo Mask due to his close bond to him and whatnot... I guess Fiore being able to identify Sailor Moon as Usagi will just have to be left up to good speculation/ideas/that sort of thing.

Gonna watch through those scenes tonight.

The scenes really don't do much to indicate how he would recognize her... they destroy the plant monster thing, Fiore shows up in human disguise, sees Sailor Moon and basically says "Its that girl from yesterday".

Maybe for once...we have an incredibly smart and perceptive villain or the Kisenian flower has a power that allows him to see through the magic of the Moon's transformation.

Maybe the similar hairstyles and voice gave her away. Who knows? ;D
