Dione took Minerva's words at face value, even if it really did sound like the other girl had been crying. She didn't know much about allergies beyond the fact that it made people feel sick, but the way Minerva spoke made her seem very knowledgeable about things, so Dione believed her excuse.

"Well if it's not cold enough in here, then maybe you should take your blanket off," Dione suggested. "But if it's not hot enough, then I guess you should put more blankets on..." She scratched her cheek in thought. This was harder to solve than she assumed it would be. Maybe they should ask a servant for assistance with this. "Are you sure you don't need help?" she asked, before yawning.

“I-I’m okay…” Minerva replied, sniffling a little. She shrunk lower into the bundle of blankets. “I mean… I’ll be fine eventually. You look tired. You should rest… I don’t want you to be tired for your first day because of me.”

The last thing she wanted was to be a burden to anyone. She was already a burden to her mother as it was, constantly failing to make her proud.

"I don't mind that much..." Dione said, though she sounded like she was going back to sleep already. "Day and night times here are hard to get used to anyway..." She was accustomed to a shorter day cycle entirely, and staying up so long during the moon's set "day" was tiring as she tried to adjust.

"But if you're okay, I'll leave you alone. See you in the morning..." She walked back to her own bed, but she still thought about how to help Minerva somehow. Maybe she could get her extra blankets tomorrow. That would make her happy, right?

Satisfied with her plan, Dione went back to sleep soon after.

Darkness. That's all Aglaia saw as she opened her eyes. It must have still been the middle of the night.
She sat up, her eyes still not adjusting. Scratching her head, she realized she still had a sleeping mask on. Lifting it up, it was still dark, but not as dark. Even with all of her beauty, she could still be a ditz at times. She always did things like that, she'd get popular sayings wrong, forget her dress wasn't zipped all the way. At least this time she figured it out before trying to walk.

She noticed Enyo still sleeping. Her raven hair covering her lips. She placed a foot on the marble flooring and got out of bed. She gave a stretch before walking over to Enyo. She knew it was the middle of the night, but she didn't want to just sit alone bored in their room. On Venus, she had a court of entertainers for just this occasion.

She sat next to Enyo on her bed, scanning the girls' body. Enyo was definitely beautiful. She still couldn't compare to her mother, or most of the citizens of Venus, but for a girl of another planet to be so beautiful, was shocking to her. She gave Enyo a poke on the cheek. "Hey... wake up... I'm bored."

Feeling someone touching her as she slept, Enyo's instincts and training kicked in. Grabbing the hand that had dared to touch her, the Princess of Mars, she yanked hard, intending to send her attacker to the other side of her bed.

"Uwahh!!!" Aglaia hit the floor with a small thud. Her eyes blinked. "Um...." She didn't really have the words for what had occurred.

Having beauty and strength was a high honor only granted to a select few on Venus, only for royalty. Being fragile, while still strong, like a golden monarch butterfly. This princess' strength may have outdone her own. But not beauty... definately not beauty.

Straddling her attackers waist, Enyo quickly pinned the arms making sure that there could be no further attacks. Now that it was relatively safe again, she took a moment to figure out who her attacker was. 

Aglaia, the Princess of Venus. 

Had she really attacked her? She was supposed to be her new team mates. Were these kind of hostilities what she was to expect from her own team mates? 

"Explain yourself, now," she growled. "Why did you attack me?"

"You don't have to be so rough you know!" Aglaia huffed. She never expected such strength to come out of a small girl.

"I was bored... I just wanted to talk for a bit..." She looked away, not liking to think Enyo thought she was an intruder... not her, she was too beautiful to be an intruder.

"C...could you let go of me please.... you're kinda hurting me..."

"Serves you right for attacking me. Let this be a lesson to you about what happens when you attacked trained soldiers," she sneered at Aglaia. If the Princess of Venus had been any kind of solider, she would have at least attempted to break free instead of demanding to be released. How was she supposed to protect the Moon Princess when she couldn't even go up against Enyo? 

It seems as if I'm the only one fit for this job, as stupid as it is. 

Shifting her weight, she moved to get off her bed. "I suggest you get back to your own bed and go to sleep. Our duties begin in the morning and any good soldier knows they need to be awake and alert for duty."

Morning came, and Minerva woke to the sound of a knock upon her door.

It took a moment for the disorientation to disappear. For one thing, she was still not used to the hours of the Moon, and for another, this was the first time she was waking up in an entirely strange place. Her mind panicked for a bit before she remembered where she was, and a pang of anxiety hit her all over again as she realized this was where she would wake up for… as long as she was going to live, probably. There wasn’t really a time limit for this whole being a guardian thing, and she expected to be spending years at the very least here at the Moon Kingdom.

Minerva scrambled up, almost tripped on her blanket, and managed to make it to the door. She opened it, and a maidservant stood waiting outside.

“Good morning, Your Highness. The Queen has requested your presence at the Princess’ chambers. We will take you there once you are ready.”

“R-Right now?” Minerva asked, immediately feeling dumb afterwards.

“Yes, right away, please.”

“Al-alright. Just give us a minute.”

“Of course. I will be waiting outside.”

She stumbled back to the beds, attempting to figure out what to do first. Take a quick shower, get dressed, be presentable. She was going to meet the queen.

She was going to meet the princess. The one she was supposed to protect.

Dione was woken up by the maidservant's knock, but took even longer than Minerva to react to it. She burrowed a little deeper into her covers, half listening to the conversation at the door. 

The queen wanted them to...go to the Princess's room? She instantly perked up, and when the mad closed the door, Dione sat up in bed.

"We're going to see the princess?" she asked Minerva, still rubbing an eye.

Aglaia talked to Enyo until the late hours of the night. She didn't feel like she had resolved much, or broken down any of Enyo's barriers; but there would be plenty of time for that.

She was awoken by a knock at the door. "Who dares disturb my beauty sleep?" She yawned, stretching her arms.

The maidservant delivered her message, and with a bow, returned to the corridor to await their presence.

She walked over to Enyo's bed. "Hey sleepy head!! It's time to see the princess!!"

"I"m over here," Enyo said when Aglaia approached her bed. How could she even think she was still asleep? Despite not getting as much sleep as she normally would have due to the other's insistence on talking to her all night, Enyo was still an early riser. 

Unlike her counter part, she was ready and groomed to see the Princess. 

"I suggest you hurry up and get ready, we don't want to keep the Queen waiting." With that she exited their room to wait for the others in the hallway.

As the four princesses got ready and lined up to meet the princess, they were escorted to another chamber down the hall where the queen was already waiting. In the middle of the room there was a white bassinet decorated with lace, but they could not see into it just yet. However, they could hear the faint giggle of a baby as the queen smiled down into it.

“Welcome, princesses and future guardians. This is my daughter, Princess Serenity. She is to be the one the four of you will protect, love, and cherish from now on. I hope you will grow to love her as much as I do and consider her your own blood. How about you say hello?”

She picked up the baby carefully and held it in her arms, where everyone could now see.

The baby was very small, probably about one Earth year old. Her hair was silver like the moon itself, curled in small ringlets around her oval face. Her eyes were blue and bright; curious and mischievous and hopeful, and her little mouth was smiling happily as if this was, too, the happiest day in her life.

Minerva was momentarily awed by the sight of the small fragile creature, mainly because she had never seen another baby back home aside from the occasional ones belonging to the maids. She was kept sheltered from the other children and had her own private tutor, which was probably why social interactions with people her own age seemed difficult.

As she looked into the princess’ eyes, those bright and blue eyes, she didn’t know why, but her heart felt light and happy. What a beautiful young woman this baby would grow up to.

She knelt on one knee and bowed to her new mistress.

“I, Princess Minerva of Mercury, hereby pledge my life to protect your daughter, Your Majesty.”

Dione wasn't sure what to expect when they entered the chamber, but when she heard a baby's laugh, she was already mesmerized. All the excited energy she had woken up with was stilled as she watched the Queen pick up the baby for her and the other princesses to see. 

This was Princess Serenity. Dione had seen babies before, but rarely up close, and she looked so...small. And fragile. The thought of someone trying to bring harm to someone so innocent was hard to grasp, but it was their job to prevent it. Her duty. The weight of that responsibility was heavy, but she was born to carry it. She followed Minerva's example and fell to her knee in front of the Queen and young Princess.

"I, Princess Dione of Jupiter, also pledge my life to protect Princess Serenity."

The baby was incredibly small and suddenly Enyo felt nervous. What was she supposed to do with the tiny thing? Guarding it she could do, but what if they expected her to look after the child? She wasn't good with children, she scared those her own age. Still, she was here to do a duty. 

"I will protect your daughter with my life," she promised the Queen, going down on one knee before her. 

Protecting she could do. Babysitting, not so much.
