Advanced Character Profile
Character Name: Usagi
Tsukino Gender: Female
Age and Date of Birth: 14-16 in canon, physical age 22 in Crystal Tokyo (exact age unknown) – Date of Birth June 30
Used Canons: Mostly manga, some parts from other canons
Appearance:Usagi stands at 4’11” or 150 cm. She has a naturally peachy complexion, wide bright blue eyes that twinkle with curiosity, and golden blonde hair that falls down all the way to her ankles if open. Her bangs are short and curled inwards, framing her round face and warm smile, and she usually keeps her hair in her trademark hairdo – one round bun on top of either side of her head with long pigtails falling down from them. She braids her pigtails occasionally, usually for the night or when she goes swimming. Usagi has a rather thin frame, but still has curves.
Usagi’s wardrobe is full of girly clothes. She is often seen wearing frilly dresses, short skirts and shorts, jackets, puff sleeved shirts and pastel colors. She also loves ribbons and bows, both of which are often seen in her outfits. Even during winter, she often wears skirts with knee high wooly socks or stockings. For special occasions, such as parties, she prefers to dress fancily and put on some make-up. As far as accessories go, she likes wearing simple pearl stud earrings, sometimes necklaces and bracelets, and wears the heart shaped promise ring Mamoru gave to her.
Her middle school uniform is sailor themed. It consists of a bright blue knee-high pleated skirt and a white long sleeved blouse. The blouse has a bright blue sailor collar with three stripes on it, and the slightly puffed sleeves have bright blue cuffs. In the front of her shirt is a red bow, and in the middle of her back sits another bow, its color the same as the skirt it is attached to. On her feet she wears white socks and plain black flats. The summer uniform is almost identical to her winter one, but it has short puffed sleeves.
Her high school uniform is very similar to her middle school one, but the colors have darker tones. Her skirt, cuffs and sailor collar are now navy blue, and the collar and cuffs have two deep red stripes on them. Her front bow is also navy blue, and there is no back bow to her slightly shorter skirt. This uniform also has a breast pocket on the left side. Usagi wears the same kind of socks and shoes as she did in middle school. The summer uniform is identical to the winter version except for the sleeves which are plain short t-shirt sleeves.
Princess Serenity: Princess Serenity is the same height as Usagi. Her eyes are the same shade of deep blue, but her hair is even longer and is light silver in the manga while it remains blonde in other adaptions (except PGSM). Serenity keeps her hair in the same hairdo as her present incarnation, but often decorates her hair with white flowers. On top of this, pear ornaments sit above her bangs, each consisting of three white pearls that are lined up. On her ears she wears earrings that resemble pearl studs with golden curled crescent moons dangling from them. She also wears a simple pearl bracelet. In the middle of her forehead sits the symbol of the Lunar Royal Family - a golden crescent moon
Her dress is made of light, semi-transparent white fabric. It has an empire style bust with two lines of pearls circling her upper waist and golden circle ornaments circling her bust. The hem of her dress is layered and reaches all the way down to the floor, often covering her footwear completely. The back of the dress is cut deep, revealing her upper back. In the middle sits a long bow made of the same material as the dress, its tails reaching all the way down to the floor. While the dress itself is sleeveless, Serenity wears decorations that resemble curled shells on her upper arms. These are white with a hint of gold here and there, and stay on her upper arms without attachments. On her feet Serenity wears simple white heels. She is sometimes seen wearing a cape made from a translucent white fabric.
Neo Queen Serenity:Neo Queen Serenity is a grown up version of Usagi. She now has the appearance of an adult - she is curvier and taller, and her eyes are narrower while still maintaining the sparkle they've always held. Neo Queen Serenity's hair is kept in her signature style, and is light silver in the manga & new Myus and blonde in other adaptions. The golden crescent moon symbol is seen on her forehead at all times. Her dress is identical to the one she wore as Princess Serenity, except for the much larger and more butterfly shaped back bow. However, in the 90's anime and old Myus her dress is made of thicker white fabric with no layers, is more form fitting resembling a mermaid cut, and only has one line of pears and bust decorations. The bow on the back also has a violet tint to it.
In the manga and new Myus her crown is silver with a heart shape in the middle, wings surrounding it, and pears lined on the base. In the anime it is golden and had a red jewel heart on the front, golden wings surrounding it. In all adaptions the earrings from her Princess form accompany her crown.
Personality:If Usagi had to be described with one word, it would be emotional. She wears her emotions on her sleeve, and her mood can often be depicted from far even if you did not know the girl. She enjoys eating and playing video games, and loves sleeping. On top of this, Usagi also quite an avid fan of manga. Among her dislikes are carrots, dentists and thunderstorms. Studying is one of her weaker points – she would much rather spend her time relaxing or playing video games than reading for exams or doing homework.
She is outgoing and energetic, and making new friends comes naturally to her. With time, she often brings even the shyest of people out of their shells. As an extroverted person she prefers to be in the company of others rather than alone, and she always dedicates time for her friends. Her natural curiousness may make her seem nosy in people’s eyes, but for Usagi there is a line between curiosity and trying to pry information out of someone.
Usagi is usually vocal about her feelings, and prone to emotional outbursts (including crying) under pressure, or if things don’t go as she planned. This trait lessens as she matures – she becomes more responsible without losing her carefree side. Similar to this, she was frightened in her first battle as a Sailor soldier, but grows to embrace the role quickly and leads her team with pride. Usagi’s loved ones are one of the main reasons she fights, and hurting or using them to get to her is what hurts her more than anything. While she fights for the sake of the future, she would give her life for those dearest to her.
Although outgoing most of the time, Usagi isn’t immune to sadness or moments of self-doubt. When she is feeling down, Usagi becomes much quieter, often pondering the situation in her head. She has been seen to try hide her worries from others at times, and while she can push her worries aside in the company of people, it doesn't mean she is free of them.
Usagi seems to have an unlimited amount of love to give, and she tries everything she can to cheer up those close to her if they’re feeling down. This also applies to people she doesn’t know well. She believes everybody deserves a second chance, even her enemies, and has a compassionate heart. Some may see this trait of hers as naivety, and while it has got her and those close to her in trouble in the past, it is also one of her greatest strengths. An optimist to heart, she believes in the good of people and doesn't let herself to give up hope no matter how difficult the situation seems like. Her friends and family mean the world to her, even if she may bicker with them at times, and she couldn’t imagine a world without them. She also admires her friends and their talents, and is often found complimenting them, even to the point of flustering them in the process.
Despite being a loving person, Usagi can get jealous when it comes to those she’s affectionate to. This caused dissension between her and Chibiusa in the beginning as they are both close to Mamoru, but they have since worked over their initial disagreements and have become very close. Nowadays Usagi (of the present) and Chibiusa have a relationship resembling that of sisterly love.
Usagi developed romantic feelings for Mamoru before remembering their shared past, and believed him while others were still wary of his motives. They provide guidance and rock support for each other in the direst of situations, and Usagi trusts him with her life. In the midst of battle, they give power to one another, and Usagi shares one of her biggest dreams with him - to watch over and protect the Earth, together. She also dreams of marrying him and wants to spend the rest of her life with him.
Princess Serenity:Usagi's past self's personality was mainly the same as hers (in manga and both anime adaptions), however, there are some differences. Since Serenity lived her life being taught to inherit the title of the Queen, she appears less temperamental than Usagi, although she too has her emotional outbursts. She is extremely curious about everything that relates to Earth, and admires the planet more than anything, except Endymion. Despite knowing and following the royal etiquette in formal situations, her carefree, more childish side rises to the surface quickly when she is among people she knows.
Having lived most of her life inside the palace, she yearns to learn more about the world surrounding her, especially the earth, even if it means sneaking out of the palace secretly. When it comes to being thrown into unfamiliar surroundings or situations, she may find herself at loss of what to do thanks to her inexperience of the outer world. However, this certainly doesn’t stop her curiosity getting the better of her.
Neo Queen Serenity: Neo Queen Serenity resembles Usagi in the end of the series, but also has an aura of tranquility and endless patience surrounding her. In many ways, she resembles her past incarnation's mother, Queen Serenity. While she still maintains her playful side, years of ruling have made her embrace great wisdom. She is very protective of her daughter, and will disregard her own safety is Small Lady is in danger. She is also still as close to her friends and beloved as before becoming queen.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills:Usagi is able to use the Legendary Silver Crystal by channeling her emotions. The Crystal can be used for various purposes, two of the most common ones being healing allies and destroying enemies. Its power depends on Usagi’s emotions, which is why she couldn’t use the Crystal well in the middle of her inner turmoil during the first arc.
Usagi also befriends people very easily and can consume mountains of food without feeling sick.
History: In the past, Usagi was known as Princess Serenity. She was a descendant of the Moon Kingdom in the era of the Silver Millennium. Growing up, she admired the blue planet their Kingdom watched over, its richness and nature one of its kind. As a teenager, she sneaked to Earth, and met the Earth’s young Prince Endymion. Their encounter put in motion a series of events, and as the young couple fell in love, Earthlings became suspicious of the Moon Kingdom’s true motives for watching over them. A young sorceress named Beryl, who worked for Metalia, used this chance to brainwash the people of Earth against the Moon in her jealousy over Endymion.
Endymion found out about this horrible plan, but was too late to warn the Moon Kingdom. In the midst of battle, Serenity could only watch in horror as the love of her life died while trying to protect her. The world around her in ruins, Serenity, overwhelmed by grief, took her life. As the Moon Kingdom fell, Queen Serenity managed to seal away Metalia and use the last of her power, and life, to give her daughter, lover, and the Sailor senshi a second chance at life.
And so Serenity was reborn as Usagi Tsukino to the 20th century Tokyo.
Usagi Tsukino was raised in a loving family together with his little brother. She led a normal life until the age of fourteen, when an encounter with a black cat changed her life. One day, while running late for school, Usagi tripped over said black cat and noticed it had a band aid on its forehead. Peeling it off, Usagi discovered it had covered a golden crescent moon mark on the cat’s forehead. With no time to ponder this, she hurried to her class and spent most of the day like any other weekday of her life. However, she bumps into a tuxedoed high schooler after leaving from Osaka family’s jewelry shop. Unbeknownst to her, this young man is more significant to her life and past than she could have imagined.
In the evening, the black cat reappears in her room and reveals it can talk human languages. After introducing herself as Luna, she informs Usagi of her role as a soldier of love and justice - Sailor Moon. Usagi tries to convince herself this is only a dream, but when her friend Naru gets in danger and Usagi hurries to help her, she realizes being a Sailor soldier is nothing but reality.
After her first battle, Usagi focuses on finding the Silver Crystal – a legendary crystal told to hold enough power to create a new star- and her four allies – the reincarnated senshi- to fight by her side. After finding three of the four Guardian senshi, the group meets Sailor V who introduces herself as Princess Serenity. As the events start unfolding, it is revealed Sailor V is actually Sailor Venus, the leader of the Guardian senshi who acted as the true Princess’ decoy. In a battle between Kunzite and the Sailor senshi, Tuxedo Mask tries to protect Sailor Moon from Kunzite’s attack and takes the blow for her. The shock of witnessing this is what awakens Usagi as the real Princess Serenity, unlocking the memories of her past life, and she realizes Mamoru Chiba, the young man she has developed feelings for, is no other than reincarnated Prince Endymion.
During numerous battles against the many forms of chaos, Usagi meets her future child with Mamoru, discovers she is to rule the Earth in the future, meets various other Sailor senshi (from and outside of their Solar System), and finally defeats Chaos, although it is implied the battle between light and darkness will start again in the future. But Usagi knows that as long as she has her friends and partner by her side, they will overcome any obstacle.
In the end of the series, Usagi and Mamoru get married, and Usagi tells him she senses a new star just being born inside of her, referring to their daughter.

Storyline Specific Information:- (Advanced) Regress:
Synopsis: Back in the past, the Moon Kingdom fell at the hands of Metallia. But in this timeline, Endymion couldn’t protect Serenity and witnessed her die. Heartbroken, there was but one wish in his heart as he watched the destruction of the Moon – for Serenity to live a life devoid of worries about the two kingdoms. When Queen Serenity sealed Metallia away and wished for everyone to get another chance at life, the Silver Crystal recognized not only her wish, but Endymion’s as well.
In 20th century Tokyo, Usagi and Mamoru lead fairly normal lives as a crime fighting high-school couple. Apart from the occasional crime cases, everything seems peaceful; there are no memories of the past haunting them, no threat that would require Sailor senshi. But one day, everything comes crashing down when a tragic accident ends up taking Usagi’s life before Mamoru’s eyes. Struck by grief, he wishes he could have saved her, and his wish ends up causing him to jump back in time. Realizing he has the power to travel back in time, Mamoru vows to change Usagi’s fate. But what he doesn’t yet know is that even the tiniest wish can cause a shift in the timeline, a shift that can seal a person’s fate…Personality: Usagi has her more mature canon personality (from around the time when she was sixteen in canon) in this timeline, partially thanks to her having to learn to come in terms with her powers alone before meeting Mamoru.
History: In this story, Usagi was reborn to a 20th century Tokyo that differs from the canon one. She lived a normal life until one day, she ended up in the middle a robbery when visiting Naru’s family’s jewelry shop. On her way back from the restroom, she heard the commotion in the main hall and decided to sneak a glance to see what was going on. Upon realizing the shop was under robbery and wishing she could somehow help everyone, her powers awakened. Confused, but a strange instinct nagging at the back of her head, she stepped up and ended up distracting the robbers long enough for police officers to arrive. But her road as a defender of justice was only beginning.
Without anyone there to guide her, figuring out what she was meant to do with her powers was a bumpy road, but thanks to the citizens' gratitude, Usagi grew to embrace her new role despite the hard times, and it gradually became a natural part of her. After meeting and getting to know Mamoru, the two decide to protect the city together as a team.
Alter ego information:
Name: Moon Twilight
Realm of Influence(s): Moon, light
Transformation phrase: N/A
Outfit: Usagi’s outfit is inspired by her prototype one from the materials collection.
On her feet, Usagi wears low-heeled, knee high white boots with dark berry red trims at the triangular tops. Her white, elbow length gloves match her boots’ style with their berry red paddings at the ends.
Usagi wears a pleated mini skirt, its base color powder blue. The skirt has a bow of the same base color attached to the waistline in the middle of Usagi’s back, and the hem has a light pink trim at the bottom, followed by a white trim above. The shirt of her outfit is a stylized version of a sailor type school uniform’s shirt – it is slightly shorter, there is a cut just below the bust, and the sides of the lower, loose part are light pink. The shirt is sleeveless and has a powder blue sailor collar attached to it. The collar has three white, narrow stripes, and in the middle of her chest sits a big, berry red bow with a light pink gemstone-like brooch attached to it.
As accessories Usagi wears a simple, light pink choker and dangling silver crescent moon earrings. She keeps her hair in her signature hairdo with simple hairclips - three pearls sitting in line on each - placed just above her bangs, one on either side of her head.
In this uniform, Usagi wears a white mask with wing shaped sides. The mask also lets her see through disguises should the need to identify an enemy arise.
Powers:Usagi’s attacks bear similarity to her canon ones, though they are smaller in scale and have varying effects on the enemies.
-
Crescent Boomerang (Original): Usagi summons her Crescent Compact and throws it at the enemy after it has changed its form to a glowing, crescent shaped energy disc. If thrown correctly, the compact will hit the enemy and return to Usagi in a full circle. This attack can be used as a distraction since it isn’t powerful enough to knock a person unconscious, however, it can cause significant damage to inanimate objects.
-
Moon Twilight Flash (Modified canon attack): This attack closely resembles the one in canon. However, it is summoned by Usagi raising her right hand up in the air while spelling “Moon Twilight”, then lowering her hand while bending it so her elbow faces the enemy, and finally throwing her hand forward with her left hand shooting up to support the front of her elbow. Her thumb, index and middle fingers pointed towards the enemy, she exclaims “Flash” and a powerful beam of light shoots from her fingers. The size of the beam varies depending on its goal and the effectiveness Usagi wants it to have. This attack is powerful enough to knock someone meters away, and it can leave a person unconscious.
Weapons or Magical Items:-
Mask: This mask is identical to Usagi’s canon one in appearance and capacity.
-
Crescent Compact: This compact is very similar to Minako’s compact in the Sailor V manga. The compact is shaped like a crescent moon and is silver in color. The lid has little stars craved on it and it can be opened to reveal a simple mirror on either inner sides of the opened compact. However, the mirror of the bottom side can be lifted to reveal an empty space where you can storage small items.

Following this change, her Sailor collar now has the same rainbow gradient, although it is sometimes pictured to retain its color from Sailor Moon’s previous form. Sailor Moon no longer has either of her bows, and the front one is replaced by a winged article while in the place of her back bow the two belt ribbons fall down. Her tiara is gone and replaced by her golden crescent moon mark that is now present at all times when she transforms. The earrings have golden stars dangling from the crescent moons, and a pink (golden in anime) brooch with wings sits atop of the winged article on her chest. Guardian:Luna, a black she-cat with blue (red in both anime versions) eyes and a golden crescent moon symbol on her forehead. She has a close sisterly relationship with Usagi, although she chastises her quite often in the 90’s anime. Luna’s job was to mentor and watch over Usagi, but their bond has become much deeper than that of sole mentorship.
RP Sample:“Why did it have to rain today of all times...?” she pouted, shivering when a sudden rush of wind came behind her. After a week of planning what all they would do on their date at the amusement park, Usagi had had to give up on her plan. It had started raining early in the morning, and the girl had been practically glued to her window, wishing the rain would stop before she had to leave. But her hopes had been crushed when the rain seemed to only strengthen the longer she leaned on her windowsill and stared outside.
Still, when Mamoru had called her, she had suggested they wait for a while in case the rain stops. But after he had pointed out these kind of monsoons were rarely short and suggested they meet in Crown Fruit Parlor instead, Usagi had decided to leave her plan for their next date. And now, on her way to the Parlor, she admitted her boyfriend had been right - the rain had only got worse after she left.
Disappointment still lingered on her mind as she leaped over tiny puddles. A part of her considered jumping to one of them to make her walk more exciting, but without gumboots on her feet, she knew the fun would be followed by a cold. Sighing curtly, she sped up her pace and was soon jogging, the umbrella in her hands bouncing up and down to the pace of her steps.
When she spotted Mamoru waiting for her outside under a canopy, her mood brightened up instantly. A bright smile rose to her face as she sprinted to him, reaching out her hand to link it to his arm, yanking him down in the process.
“Mamo-chan, why did you wait outside? You’ll catch a cold, you know!” she scolded her playfully. Suddenly the rain didn’t bother her that much anymore.
