Relaxed Character Profile Character Name: Mai Kuju
Gender: female
Age: 15
Character Image: Mai has brown eyes and black hair down to her shoulders. She is a little bit shorter than the average girl her age because she is of Japanese origin; she is about 5-foot-3 (160 cm). She often wears her school uniform, which is a version of the typical girls' school uniform for Japan. When she is not in that, she typically wears a short-sleeved shirt and either a pant or a knee-length skirt; sometimes, she adds a long-sleeved jacket over the shirt.
Storyline Specific Information: Sailor Art Online: Mai has already gone through her heroine adventure(s) in her Real Life (see History sub-section below). As part of her reward for saving the world from the complete control of the Wisdom Alliance, Mai was given one of the first, limited copies of the new virtual reality MMORPG Sailor Art Online. It was one of her favorite gifts for this, because she has always wanted to just be like a normal teenage girl, including being into these online, interactive video games.
When she first turns it on and sets up her character in Sailor Art Online, Mai chooses to be a Ranger class using the element of Energy in the game. She also chooses to have the three Skills of Acrobatics, Cooking, and Sewing.
Soon after completing this setup process and entering the virtual reality world of Sailor Art Online, Mai notices that there is no Log Out button to be able to choose while in the game. She gets slightly frustrated by this, immediately thinking 'What the heck?!? How could they release it like this?' A little later, upon hearing the announcement for all of them to gather in the main city, Mai feels a little relief, thinking 'They better provide a damn good explanation for this.' She is unfazed when the strange figure in dark clouds appears, having overcome some tough obstacles in her Real Life the previous year. When it announces a possible, but difficult-sounding, way out (defeating all 100 levels of the game's main dungeon), Mai immediately resolves to try to do so, whether as part of a team, or (if need be) even alone. When the mysterious figure announces that the possible ways to side-step this difficult adventure - a player's Nerve Gear (the headgear that gets them into the game) being removed, whether by the player himself/herself or by someone else - will cause a reaction by the game that will kill them in Real Life, her frustration grows, because this is another example of an enemy not letting her be a normal teenage girl. But this frustration does not dampen her determination to try to defeat the game by completing all 100 levels of that dungeon. Mai has the same reactions to it announcing that dying in the game will result in the player dying in Real Life also.

Additional Information: Personality: Mai prefers to not use her psychic powers in Real Life. However, if she must do so to keep peace and/or protect innocent being(s), she now will. So she will now do whatever she can to protect this peace and/or any innocent being(s). At first, she will try to not even harm the threatening being; though if the threatening being persists, she will resort to harming this threatening being. But to anybody that does not threaten peace or any other innocent being, she will be at least as kind as typical Japanese people are.
History: Up until the age of 14, Mai Kuju thought her psychic powers were only useful to play pranks on other beings (for example, making an acorn start to fall then stopping/suspending it in midair to confuse two nearby birds). But when she was 14, a sinister agency bent on controlling the world, the Wisdom Alliance, found out that she had some psychic powers by disguising/mixing it into an intelligence test. So the Wisdom Alliance had a few men follow/monitor her every move. But this aroused the suspicion of her father, so he fled with her from Tokyo to Togakushi.
To make a long story shorter, the Wisdom Alliance found Mai Kuju again before long. Her father was then severely injured (to the point of getting amnesia) as the result of a fight with a monster this organization had. But with a little luck and the help of some strangers-turned-friends (as well as a few uses of her psychic powers at first), she managed to evade capture or serious injury each and every time she was threatened with one of these. After finding her father again, and him regaining his memory, she even eliminated a couple other psychic people sent by the Wisdom Alliance to capture or eliminate her. Finally, Mai vowed to defy the Wisdom Alliance no matter what it took.
During that year, she matured from a naive young girl to a woman who takes control of her future.
Source: Some info above copied from my profile for her on the Cherry Blossoms Club, a now-defunct RPGing forum. I have since copied that profile to http://ashk1980.forumotion.com/t8-mercuryfan-s-characters (second one down on that page) on one of the two replacement forums for it.
BTW, Mai Kuju is the title character of the little-known manga series
Mai The Psychic Girl .
RP Sample: Mai Kuju waited - and waited and waited. She was in the house she lived in with her father, and he was supposed to have come back from a business trip early this evening. As a welcome-back gift for him, Mai had even cooked them her favorite dinner to cook - steak, seasoned her own special way. But now, of course, their steaks were cold, and her dad was very late. Her surprise now ruined, Mai sat glumly in their living room, watching out the front window for a car to come up their driveway. Finally, after what seemed like forever to her (Mai hadn't been keeping track of time while she waited), Mai saw the tell-tale limo that his company always drove her father in for leaving on and arriving back from his business trips. This limo slowly pulled up their driveway to a little short of their garage door, then stopped to let her father get out of the back of it. Mai never saw her father get out of the back of this limo, though, because she was hurrying to their house's front door, with lots of bittersweet emotions crossing her mind. When father and daughter met, just outside their home's front door, Mai ran up to him crying, hugged him, then said with strong emotion in her voice "Daddy! I’m so glad you’re back home! But don't worry me like that! I don't need to experience that time when we were separated for a half-year again!"Senshi Information (delete this section if not applicable)
Senshi Name: Sailor Psychic
Senshi Fuku: In the game, Sailor Psychic wears a tight-fitting yellow short-sleeved shirt paired with a knee-length yellow skirt. This combination is under a yellow cape, with a yellow strap also around her torso that includes a tube-like container which holds her arrows that go along with her bow.
Powers and Magical Items: Sailor Psychic has an unnamed force-field-like power which she can use against any physical object coming towards her (note that it doesn’t work against any magical power, though). It is defensive in nature, and it works if she notices said object in enough time to react to it before it gets to her. Her reaction is to set up this power like a force field, and when the physical object hits this power, it reacts as if it had just hit a strong, solid wall.
“Attract!” - When Sailor Psychic calls this out when she is about to shoot one of her arrows from her bow, then the arrow she shoots will be magically joined by many other small, sharp objects as it travels to its target, and those attracted objects can also hit and do damage to the target.
Magical Items: her bow and arrows - the latter of which are stored in the tube-like container mentioned above in the Senshi Fuku section. They are made of the best material available (for example, the bow is made with wood from a yew tree). And they are infused with a magic that only Sailor Psychic can control. Her skill with this magic starts out pretty basic, but gradually grows the more she successfully plays in the game.
