| OMG, I JUST SAW THIS!!! THANKS, YOU GUYS! So, there was no party because we're poor people and because we're also very cheap and didn't want to feed people who would leave the place complaining. Or deal with the fact his grandma would want a religious ceremony and we don't share the same religious beliefs. Plus, we eloped. There I was on Tuesday, sitting on the pet shop waiting for my cat's bath to end when my husband called me saying "Let's get married tomorrow?" and I was like "Is tomorrow some weird date? 'Cause you know it has to be a weird date." The day we signed the last papers saying we had a relationship since 2011 was February 29. And he proposed on Litha (Yule for you guys up on the Northern Hemisphere). Anyhoo... He reminded me that it was one year after the infamous Germany 7 x 1 Brazil during the World Cup. Needless to say, it sounded perfect! That's when I created a Facebook post asking for people available the next morning. Yeah, I know. Basically, we just got two - three actually showed up - witnesses and went to the registry. Normally, you need to wait at least 30 days to do it. However, we already had that legal paper - something like a civil union of sorts - saying we've been living together in the same house since 2011, which meant we could do it right away if we had our birth certificates, our IDs and our social security numbers. I decided to change my name and all, so now I'm gonna have to get new everything LOL Anyway, after we left the registry, John, our witnesses, one of the witnesses boyfriend and I went straight to the bar and started drinking. It was before 11 AM, which made me feel like a rebellious creature of sorts LOL For us it wasn't a great deal because we've been together since 2009, living together since 2011 and we were already husband and wife, that's the truth. I mean, we share our bills, we live together, we do everything as a married couple. And he's the best stepdad my kid could possibly want (I'll just say it: he's more of a father, than her own father). We just signed this document because of... POSSIBLE EUROPEAN CITZENSHIP FOR MEEEE hahahaha Well, so, that was it! Thanks you guys and I'm gonna share our very first picture after we got married  Seriously, that's our first picture together LOL |
