Dark Side of The Rose: Usagi and Mamrou get trapped in the dream world by Queen Nehellenia. When Mamrou breaks free of his dream he finds himself in Usagi's dream. In her dream world she is dating Demande and is trapped in an abusive relationship. Mamoru has to get her to remember the real world in order to wake her up from her dream.

At a young age he lost his parents in a car crash on his sixth birthday. This blocked his childhood memories of his current lifetime and opened up the memories of his previous life as Prince Endymion. In the beginning of the series, he dreams of Princess Serenity that haunts him, As Mamoru. he tries to solve the pieces together from his strange dreams, and as Tuxedo Mask, he tries to remember his past and identity, while searching for Princess Serenity. He seeks the Silver Crystal in the belief that this will fully restore his memories.
The manga develops Mamoru extensively, showing that the car-crash happened on his birthday, and it gives a glimpse of his parents. Mamoru also struggles with his identity and function throughout the story line, worrying first about his true nature, then later whether he gets in the way of the Sailor Senshi. A fair amount of subtle characterization is made for Mamoru, and later extending his role within the manga as to who he is. He also is given the power of psychometry. This manifests in his ability to see and read dreams (such as Chibiusa's), heal people and monitor the status of the Earth. This was not fully developed until the second season, and was used occasionally throughout the series.
The manga tends to show Mamoru as quiet, studious, mysterious and stoic. The student body of his high school often admires him for these qualities.
Tuxedo Mask:
When Mamoru becomes Tuxedo Mask, he dons a black tuxedo, with yellow buttons and a black cape (lined with red). The jacket is left open to reveal his white dress shirt. He also wears white gloves and a white mask that covers his eyes; at times the mask seems to cover his eyes and other times the mask is merely an outline, leaving his eyes visible. The final touch of his disguise is a black top hat.

Mamoru left his apartment in a hurry. He was late for his date with Usagi. He forgot to change his alarm clock last night. He walked at fast pace down the side walk. He was meeting her at their favorite cafe. Mamoru turned the corner and saw Usagi standing outside the cafe. She was looking around with him. He picked up his pace. Mamoru didn't want to make her wait any longer.
When he approached her, he gave Usagi a warm smile. "Sorry, I'm late Usako. My alarm clock went off at the wrong time." He then took her by the hand and led her into the cafe.
