| Has anyone else read the series by Cassandra Clare; the modern day one set in the states The Mortal Instruments is currently comprised out of four books (City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, and City of Fallen Angels), and in the end will be composed of six books (City of Lost Souls, City of Heavenly Fire). The Infernal Devices; set in Victorian London is currently comprised of two books (Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince), and there will be a third installment as well (Clockwork Princess). The series is a prequel to the Mortal Instruments half but it is easier to understand if the Mortal Instruments series is read first. I just recently picked up the books again. I stopped at the City of Fallen Angels, and I just picked up Clockwork Prince. Between the two series I enjoy the Infernal Devices more than the Mortal Instruments because of the time period. Anyone else have favourite characters, pairings, theories?

| The next book should be very interesting considering what happened at the end of City of Fallen Angels. The Clockwork Prince is pretty good. It had some surprises in it as well. |

| Yeah, I can't wait for lost souls to release. I preordered it right after I finished CoFA. Cassandra left us a cliffhanger |

| Both books have horrible cliffhangers, and Clockwork Princess isn't coming out until 2013. |

| I may be poking a hornet's nest by posting in this thread, so bare with me here. I haven't actually read this series yet, but I have considered it. However, one fact has discouraged me. Multiple sources say that the author used to plagiarize quite a bit, which makes me question both the quality of writing and consistent voice, but also the originality of the story.
With any fortune, I'll be able to borrow mom's laptop again soon to check this. |

| I honestly believe that this is one of the most original series I've come across. Cassandra created an entire different world within this story. Sure it's got vampires and werewolfs, but also faeries, wizards, demons and best of all shadowhunters i think that the runes where REALLY original. I suggest you to read, you might like it. I wasn't so sure at the beginning of chapter one but that's only cuz I had no idea what was going on, but I kept reading a bit more and all the suspence took over till I couldn't drop it till I was done reading it. Thankfully, I started the series after the second book had released xD |
