| So, am I the only who watches this? For those of you who aren't aware, its a new cartoon that started airing on Disney Channel this year. I just love it to bits, and in my opinion, its the only thing worth watching on the channel now.
Of course, I'm pretty peeved that there haven't been any new episodes for almost two months now. Its not even anywhere near to the end of the season yet, but they suddenly decide to make the show go on some super long hiatus. I've heard several rumors of it being cancelled, but hopefully they don't turn out to be true. |

| I don't think it'll go on hiatus! Or if it does then they're dumb, because there are way too many fans. I like it, but my boyfriend is OBSESSED with it so it kind of annoys me just because he always makes us watch it hahah. But other than that it's awesome  |

| It just seems like its been put on hiatus to me, what with the lack of new episodes as the past two months. I'd rather it be hiatus though then outright cancelled.
The only thing that annoys me about the show is not really the show's fault, but Disney's. It seems like the only episodes they ever rerun are the more recent ones, which have made me start to become burnt out on and tired of. But other then that, I love the show. |

| Its definitely the best thing they've made in years, in my opinion. You should try watching a full episode to get a good enough opinion about it. |

| It's about two twins (Dipper and Mabel) who are sent to the mysterious town of Gravity Falls to live with their Grunkle (great-uncle) Stan who runs a bizarre museum-like shop called the Mystery Shack. Dipper ends up coming across a mysterious book which holds information about strange phenomenons and events that have happened in the town in the past and are being covered up. And the two siblings end up interacting with these supernatural creatures.
TL;DR: Two twins go on wacky adventures in a supernatural town. |

| I'd say it definitely has a quirky feel to it, like Adventure Time does. If you like Adventure Time, then there's a good chance that you might like this show. I'm a fan of both, along with several other people I know, and they all love both of the shows. |

| Aw man! I LOVE this show! This and Phineas and Ferb are the only reasons I watch the Disney Channel. I heard alot of good things about it online and watched a little bit of it with my niece, it seemed interesting so I decided to watch it in full, I ended up marathoning the whole thing
Its DEFINITELY worth a watch and deserves more attention, it's like a gem in a sea of live-action garbage. The writing is very well done and pretty mature at times for a kid's show, and its hilarious! Heck, its better made than some of the shows that are for adults, thats how good it is. |

I WAS SO HAPPY TOTALLY CALLED IT!!!!! But there can only be one of two ways the show can go now that I cannot post here because major spoilers... I am so concerned omg you have no ideaBut everyone should totally give this show a go. Sure, the first season is really slow in comparison to cartoons like Steven Universe and Adventure Time, but every time you think "omg why am I watching this?" DO NOT STOP it gets way better. Also, don't skip around even if the eps are boring, otherwise you'll be seriously confused later. |

| I haven't seen the new episode yet but I'm super excited! We get to find out more about Stan! :O Also, Cosmos is right! It's extremely important to watch through all the episodes because there is A LOT of foreshadowing and hidden clues that will help you understand better what is happening in the later episodes that are more plot driven. The whole show is one giant mystery including things that happen in the episodes and clues given OUTSIDE the episodes like on the site and stuff There are a lot of ciphers and codes that need to be broken for clues to be found and omg it's just so cool. A good way to see all of the clues would be to go on the show's reddit although beware of spoilers because while they have a thread for discussion of latest episodes a lot of people make their own threads with their theories in them. But if you want to fully experience the hidden clues and stuff the reddit really helped me out personally |

Yeah, like I said the one really unfortunate thing about the show is that there is soooooooo much time in between episodes :/ I mean, it's nice because that means that each episodes is great and polished and quite beautiful but it still sucks having to wait each time xD Especially when a bombshell ending is dropped like in the last episode xD |

| Can I start a discussion with you guys who are all caught up? (Aka most discussions will be in spoilers because of the most recent episode) - Spoiler:
I honestly don't think stan gets along with his brother, considering he mentioned in the beginning of the ep that it's unnatural for siblings to get along so well, obviously referring to mabel and dipper.
Also, it doesn't seem like he knew about the hidden notes within the journals that can only be viewed under blacklight. Those hidden notes seem to show a side of his brother he never knew, and his brother may be, well, mentally unstable. (Then again after all the crap going on in gravity falls, who wouldn't be?)
Aside from that, we've got the newspaper stating that stan pines died. This either means his brother faked his death, or stan himself faked his death. There's also a possibility that the two could have switched identities, so stan might be the name of the journal author, not the real name of the character we know as "grunkle stan."
All that aside, I don't think the author being in the picture will bring anything good. I think that stan, or the character we know as stan, will be forced to choose between his brother and the kids-either by bill cipher being bill cipher or his brother turning out to be a jerk or unstable, and stan will be forced to choose. Plus, they were talking about one character not surviving through the season, and I really hope they choose to kill off bill or the author instead of a main character. I really like grunkle stan, ok? I don't want him to be the one written off.

Well I think the reason why there was a faked death is because the author, be he the real Stan or not, went into the portal and was missing for so long that they needed to make him dead so people wouldn't question where he went. Or they faked it right after he went into the portal for the same reason. That's just my theory anyway.
A lot of people have the same theory as you, that the brothers will have a turbulent reunion and overall relationship. There's even some fanart of the author getting into a fist fight with Stan xD I think that they'll have their ups and downs but I mean they're brothers, and he's been gone for who knows how long. Surely they've missed each other and are glad to see each other again.
As for your theory about Stan choosing, I kinda agree but I feel like if I theorize too much I'll be disappointed when the new episode comes out instead of excited to see what happens xD But I'm quite sure that now we've got Stan's secret and the author's identity out of the way, Bill and his devious plans are gonna be the rest of the plot for this season. Some people think that he's actually just a neutral or evil good and that his intentions are to save the world from whatever is coming. But I don't know. I'm not sure if Alex would take that route since it would be quite the convoluted plot. I mean this is a kids show. I'm surprised he's gotten away with so much already xD

| Okay, I just finished season 1. BY FAR one of my favorite parts of this show are the ciphers at the end and hidden throughout the episodes - especially the episode 20 one where - Spoiler:
you have to use all 3 ciphers and it leads you to a website with hidden stuff in the source code!
I had so much fun searching for all the clues and deciphering codes. I love interactive stuff like this. Not to mention the great characters and story. I'm psyched to get caught up on season 2. |
