| I watched it twice in the theaters when it was released in 3D. It's one of my biggest guilty pleasures. It's rather funny because dramatic romances are not usually my thing, but geeze, that movie. It was over all well made and it's aged well. |

| The movie and song were very popular in the 90s. Especially replicas of the necklace. I remember seeing it everywhere and wanting it so much. Did anyone buy it? |

| I was more concerned that at then end, when we see all the photos of everything she did afterwards, many which included doing things she and Jack were going to do, there is not one picture of her husband. |

| I first wanted to see this movie for the boat's history. I'm not a fan of romance movies at all so I never watched it afterwards. When it plays on TV I litterally change channel. I still thought the boat was gorgeous but that's all. Other romance movie I hated as much was Sweet November. |

I was 10 when the movie came out. Still can't watch it. Saw it like 2 times. while there was room on the door for both of them, when jack got on it, it sank because both of there weight was too much for it. so he let her stay on the door. |

| The sets and costumes for that film were gorgeous, but the story should have included more actual history and less of those two made-up people and their romance. |

| I strongly dislike Titanic. What's so great a love story about two people who know each other for (how long? a week at most?). Realistically, if Rose could survive, Jack could too. Then they would've had the rest of their lives together. So what if he made her more adventurous or whatever? She lost him so quickly. My sister and I call movies like this UTs. "Unnecessary tragedies") |

But it was suppose to be about the two of them, it just took place on the Titanic. it was a love story not a documentary - nekosenshi wrote:

If jack and rose never met, she would have jumped off the back of the boat. Rose learned to be herself. and jack died because he was in the water for so long. Rose only lived because she was out of the water. this movie is one of the few sad love story movies i will watch. |

| I absolutely adore Titanic, the movie and the ship. The story of the sinking is terribly tragic. I find myself wanting to slap the creators (of the ship and blueprints, not the media renditions) and owner upsides the head every time I read through its history. Couldn't you have spared another 1/4th inch of steel? I bet you wish there had been more lifeboats 'cluttering the pathways' now, huh? (Have to give them credit for having more lifeboats than legally required, at the time)
Has anyone seen the mini-television series Titanic? That had me crying, too (made in 2012, I think). The actors drew me in, but thinking about the real tragedy upsets me the most. I've always been drawn to the history of the Titanic and its sister ships (considerably less tragic stories, by the way). Did you know the director of the White Star Line, Bruce Ismay, survived the sinking by being one of the few men to get into a lifeboat? Damn coward tried to hide after the survivors were retrieved and brought to the mainland. |

| If I remember right they made sure they had enough life boats for the all the first class passengers and some of the second class passengers. in fact very few if any that were below that actually survived. I had wanted to watch the mini series but because no one else wanted to see it I automatically didn't either (that's the way it usually works in this house.).
but yea I was drawn to the history of the titanic and her sister ships after I watched the movie the first time. It' also probably a good thing he hid from them after though it's the cowards way out. If he had any guts than he would have faced the survivors but eh stuff like that happens all the time. This is actually my favorite movie of all time and also the first movie I went to just me , my mother. and my grand mother so I have a bit of a special love. |

| Meh. I've seen it on ABC Family a few times, but the romance doesn't really sit well with me. I mostly watched it for the Titanic sinking and watching the people deal with it. Does that make me a bad person? |

The only downside is that it drags on. A lot. |
