The newest show on Disney XD is a magical girl series about a princess named Star Butterfly, who is sent to Earth due to her unruly behavior. She lives with Marco Diaz and his family and fights monsters who try to steal her royal wand. A lot of people are claiming it's a Sailor Moon rip off but it isn't.

Animation looks like it's more taken from Gravity Falls from what I'm seeing when I looked it up. I hadn't heard of it. But then again, I don't know what Disney has anymore with shows.

It's not really a Sailor Moon rip off, but it was originally inspired off of it. The creator said in article that the show was originally going to be about a Sailor Moon fan named Star who pretends she's a magical girl alongside her friend Marco who's an avid DBZ fan.

All in all, the show's not bad, though I'm waiting until we see an actual plot start to show up. But for now I like the quirkiness of it. That and... Marco is bae *cough*

It doesn't really look all that interesting to me. Plus the title sounds really uncreative. Star VS The Forces of Evil? I can come up with a better title than that!

I think you should give it a try. At first i thought Gravity Falls wasn't going to be my thing but now i love the series

Youtube! I just looked and you can find the episodes there. I watched the intro. It looks interesting.

Is it me or a lot recent cartoons inspired by the shows we watched as kids? I wonder if the newer cartoonists are from our generation.
