| So I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I wanted to start a thread about stage musicals.
Anyone seen or love any particular musicals? I thought this'd be a great place to discuss musicals and even introduce each other to new stage musicals and such! YAY! |

| I have always wanted to see Cats.
I saw Fiddler on the roof on Broadway 10 years ago and it was amazing.
I have seen movie musicals and I love them, but I want to see more musicals.
I really want to see Wicked and the Lion King on stage. |

| The Lion King is the show I want to see the most at the moment! I was supposed to go in March with my ex before we broke up, it was gonna be my Christmas present, but I never received the tickets. I'll get to see it some day I'm sure!
Sadly, I'm a musical theatre student and I've never seen a Broadway show. |

| I've seen Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Book of Mormon.
I liked Wicked the best but the opening scene for Phantom was my favorite - when the music swells and the chandelier goes up - swoon- |

| I saw a number of musicals when I was younger, but honestly I'm a big fan of The Phantom of the Opera. It makes me feel nostalgic. I've seen it on stage five times, and I'd see it again. I'm particularly fond of productions where the Phantom's actor has a lower vocal range. *_*
I tend to prefer opera now that I'm the one paying for tickets. XD |

| I have seen a couple musicals on stage, not on Broadway. I particularly love Into the Woods, Legally Blonde the Musical, The Last Five Years, Ordinary Days, and any of the Disney Broadway shows. I love how Disney adapted their music from the movies and added songs for all of the characters. The princes all get songs in the musicals and they're usually pretty amazing!! |

| I love musicals! I've been to a good number because both my mother and grandmother love them, too. I've seen The Phantom of the Opera a few times, as it had such a long run in Toronto, Showboat, Les Mis, The Lion King, Into the Woods, Crazy for You, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Mamma Mia, Jersey Boys, Guys & Dolls, My Fair Lady, The Music Man, Anne of Green Gables, Man of La Mancha, and Sweeney Todd. There was one I remember seeing as a kid because it was colourful, but I have no idea what it was, haha.
The Phantom of the Opera and Jersey Boys are probably my favourites.
I'm dying to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show on stage, because it's my favourite musical. I'm hoping to go this Halloween, and dress up! |

| When I went to school in the UK I saw my very first stage musical in London/West End and it was Wicked. It was one of the highlights of my life; I was thoroughly amazed. Such a great experience.
After that I went back again to see Phantom of the Opera.
I'd seen The Lion King before too while it was playing in Singapore. Beauty and the Beast is coming as the first ever Broadway musical to my place but the price is kind of ridiculous. xD |

| Wow! I've heard West End musicals are pretty awesome! I'd love to see Phantom of the Opera on stage because of the chandelier. I saw Wicked in Philadelphia and it was amazing!
Ticket prices can be ridiculous at times, although Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite musicals, I'd rather be in it, than see it. My dream is to play Belle someday. |

| I grew up with musicals! At my mum's workplace, a colleague of her had a group that made their own little stage productions of know Musicals and back when I was 3, they asked me to play Little Eponine in Les Misérables. I've since then seen Elisabeth, Miss Saigon, and some of their own productions with that group and I've played in their version of Mozart (child role) and had a minor role in Beauty and the Beast too (narration). Later, I was part of our school choir's plays. I had a singing role in Tanz der Vampire and Les Misérables. As for official productions, I've seen Starlight Express, The Lion King (2x) and Tarzan (2x).
I'd love to see more musicals, especially professional adaptions, but it is so expensive that I can not afford to see that many. When I was 10 or 11, I even dreamed of becoming a musical actress myself ^^ |

| I've seen Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Newsies, Les Miserables, and Cats. The first three were touring companies and the last two I saw twice, once on Broadway and once with a touring company. When I was in college, I got credits for going to see shows at Barter Theatre (Virginia's State Theatre) There I know for sure that I've seen Gigi, Phantom (not the same show as Phantom of the Opera, but from the same source material) and Man of La Mancha. I saw mostly straight plays, though. And then had to write papers critiquing them. I've seen a few community theatre productions- Annie, Grease, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Beauty and the Beast I know for sure. I've been in Oklahoma!, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Godspell, and Once Upon a Mattress. |

I really want to see Phantom of the Opera. I own the movie. It was in my city last year, but the tickets were too pricey. |

| I've seen Beauty and the Beast, Wicked, Stomp, Rent (twice), Les Miserables, West Side Story, Hairspray, and Avenue Q (twice) productions on Broadway or off Broadway touring productions.
At summer camp (no, seriously, the productions were freakin' amazing) I've seen Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods, the Lion King, and Once on This Island.
My favorite, by far, is Les Miserables. The storyline is pretty boring, but the singing is absolutely amazing. I have a very soft spot for The Lion King production by the summer camp I attended.
I would love to see the Broadway adaptation of Newsies, but I'm afraid the change in lyrics would throw me off. Newsies is my all-time favorite movie musical. I have the whole thing memorized. |

| ^Oh my goodness, Newsies is my favorite movie, too! I tried to get everyone I knew to watch it when I was a young. God knows, they probably knew the opening monologue, just because I wouldn't shut up. I finally got to see the touring company this year and, yes, it's weird, but it was sooooo good and absolutely worth it.
Also, I kind of love that Alan Menken thanked all the fans who kept Newsies alive when the show won best score at the Tonys. |

Also Aida, the only Disney musical that wasn't a movie first, is amazing! If you haven't listened to it I suggest doing so! The music and original cast are amazing! |

My favorite Disney musical is Tarzan. I like the musical even better than the movie. The changes gave it so much more energy and I love the songs! |

| Ah musicals! Yes please! I've seen... a few... um let's see if I can remember them all.. lol
101 Dalmations Beauty and the Beast Cats Chorus Line Grease Hairspray The Lion King The Little Mermaid Mary Poppins My Fair Lady Phantom of the Opera RENT Shrek the Musical Sound of Music Sweeney Todd Wicked Wizard of Oz Xanadu
....and if high school productions I assisted with counts, then also Annie Get Your Gun and Into the Woods.
My favorite BY FAR is The Phantom of the Opera. I lost count of how many times I've seen it after I got past 12... Wicked and Shrek are also a few of my favorites, I highly recommend!
Other than a birthday treat last year, it's actually been a while since I've been able to enjoy the theatre. I'm too poor these days. ;_; I'd really love to go see Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Oh and An American in Paris is a thing?? Gosh so many shows to see!

| That quiz was fun--although I was amused that I got:
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street You value justice and retribution at all costs, consequences be damned. You can sometimes be melancholy, even when thinking of nice things like a trip to the beach or eating pie. However, your hair is always on point and never not killin’ it, so there’s that, I guess.
My answers were not vengeance-y at all. XD |
